The house and property was an excellent venue for the family vacation that we had envisioned with our family. My only suggestion would be that the homeowner consider installing a generator to complete this excellent property.

Thank you so much for your wonderful 5 star review! We're thrilled to hear that Candlewood Lake House was everything you had envisioned for your family vacation. Creating a place where families can gather, relax, and make lasting memories is exactly what we hope to provide. We also appreciate your suggestion. Unfortunately, Mother Nature threw all of Connecticut a curveball during your stay with an unusually severe storm that caused widespread power outages throughout the area. Thankfully, our utility company worked quickly to restore service and kept everyone updated on their progress. While this was certainly an unfortunate interruption, it was an isolated event and not something we've experienced before at the property. We're so glad you were still able to enjoy everything the home and lake have to offer, especially the beautiful setting and refreshing lake breeze. It was a pleasure hosting your family, and we'd love the opportunity to welcome you back for another stay under calmer skies!

Wow, “best lake house I have ever stayed at” is about as good as it gets! Thank you! This is one of those special places that pictures just can’t quite capture. And that fire pit with the lake right in front of you really is something else. We’re so glad you loved it and hope we get to welcome you back!

Perfect lakefront getaway

We just wrapped up a fantastic stay at this beautifully appointed lake house on Candlewood Lake, and it was the exact getaway our group needed. We traveled with another couple and our young kids, and the accommodations couldn’t have been better. Kitchen was stocked with cooking essentials with a near by stop and shop. Lakefront is great for the fire pit and the dock is perfect for lake access. 10/10
