Birdsong Cottage - Junaluska

We'd love for you to be our guests at birdsong cottage - a magical, whimsical home designed for the whole family, furry friends included! From the chef's kitchen, to the fire-pit, to the cozy back porch featuring a slide for the kids and huge fenced in backyard, you'll have everything you need for an epic mountain getaway. Located just minutes from Lake Junaluska, the golf course and downtown Waynesville, you'll have access to everything while enjoying the spacious privacy of this property.

There are multiple hangout areas at Birdsong Cottage - play board games or watch a movie in the living room, relax with an evening drink on the back porch while the kids play in the fenced yard, or make s'mores at the fire-pit by the beautiful creek. Use the gas grill to make dinner and enjoy alfresco dining on the back porch. Take in the birdsong with your morning cup of coffee.

The master bedroom features a comfy king size bed, large flat screen smart TV, and an ensuite bathroom with dual sinks. All rooms have darkening shades and curtains for sleeping late.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed and shares a detached bathroom with the third bedroom.

The third bedroom has two twin beds, perfect for the kids. One extra fun feature of this house is the slide off the back porch, which enters the fenced in back yard!

If you bring your dog with you, food and water bowls are provided, just remember to bring your doggie bags for the back yard.

This property is in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood 2 minutes from the Lake Junaluska golf course and 5 minutes from Lake Junaluska. The cottage overlooks the #17th hole of the golf course and is framed by creeks and trees. There is a beautiful walk you can enjoy around the lake. There are kayaks, canoes and paddle boards available for rent and a pool to swim in at the lake. There is a bike path you can connect to at the main road. Downtown Waynesville and all its cute shops and restaurants are 10 minutes away. The ski mountain lifts (Cataloochee) are 27 minutes away.

Nearby hiking in Great Smoky Mountain National Park can be accessed in 20 minutes. The bustling town of Asheville is 29 minutes away. Cherokee resort and casino is 35 minutes away. So many fun things to do right in this area! See our house manual for specific recommendations or send us a message.

Lovely and beautiful accommodations

The property is in a beautiful setting, huge fencing, yard with a stream, lots of birds chirping, Andy occasional golfer going by on the other side of the stream. The decor is comfortable and welcoming. Everything is in top working order as well, which is always a plus. The property management was very responsive and friendly. Even had a chat with one of the neighbors, who is also very friendly. Felt very safe and comfortable here. If I ever travel this way, I will surely stay here, and the location is perfect as the gateway to the Smokies.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Birdsong Cottage! Everything about the cottage was perfect. Very clean, nice amenities and very well appointed. The best part about the trip was that our 1 year old Cairn Terrier couldn’t get enough of that back yard! We live on the beach in a condo, and when our little Malibu discovered that she could run freely outside, she begged us to keep letting her out. Thank you so much to the hosts. What a blessing it was to find you!!

Perfect getaway

Our stay at Birdsong Cottage could not have been more perfect. The house is beautifully appointed and comfortable. Because of the large fenced yard, our dog played happily and safely all day! It would be perfect for children, too. We could not have chosen a better home for our Christmas tree cutting weekend. We stayed close to home during our stay, but the location is perfect for enjoying all of the areas acticities.
