Spring in the mountains 🌷and no better place to enjoy than this cozy mountain cabin! Set just between W.Jefferson & Boone, this retreat sleeps 10 comfortably & offers sunset views from every room. Curl up by the fire, rejuvenate in the quiet mountain air, or simply unwind on the three-tier deck with a good book and cocktail (my fav!). The neighborhood: Fleetwood trail, lake/river fishing, hiking, short ride to wineries, golf course, boutiques & resorts.
Fleetwood Falls is on the edge of the New River. During summer months, we drop our floats in at the bridge and float down the river to the foot of the community, approximately 1 - 2 hours depending on how fast the water is moving and distance travelled.
In Fall, we have a beautiful view of the mountains and enjoy watching all the color that surrounds. Fleetwood Falls offers a neighborhood trail and close proximity to a variety of hiking options.
We are 15 minutes to West Jefferson, a vibe (!), brewery-filled, boutique-lined downtown which has become my ultimate favorite. We are 15 minutes to Old Barn Winery which is A-MAZ-ING. We are 20 minutes to downtown Boone and App State, stay with us for sporting events or visits with your college-kids. We are 40 minutes to Blowing Rock and Appalachian Ski Mountain for a full day ski slopes, tubing, and ice skating. AND, Sugar Mountain, our fav resort, is about 50 minutes.
The Space
This is a three bedroom, two bath cabin on the side of Fleetwood Mountain in the Fleetwood Falls Community. The main floor is an open living space for entertaining around the natural fireplace. The large TV provides access to all your favorite smart-apps. There is a first-floor bedroom with a king bed, go upstairs to a large master with two full beds and third room with four twin beds. The unfinished basement houses all the fun: hoops, darts, air hockey, and more.
A three-tier deck is off the back (remember that view I mentioned?!) and includes rocking chairs, outdoor eating space, and other lounge-worthy chairs and tables. Every room has. access. to. views. Outside we have a fenced in yard, fire pit and gas grill.
The home sleeps 10 comfortably. It is also proofed for the youngins with outlet plugs, pack and play, gates, highchair, if you need it.
BTW, we prefer our house STOCKED and easy. Bed linens, blankets, pillows, towels & wash cloths, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo & conditioner, soap, blow dryer & curling iron, iron, washer/dryer plus detergent, coffee pot AND coffee, salt & pep, butter, olive oil, ketchup/mustard, and some snacks.
Pets are welcome for an additional fee.
I know you’ll treat our house just like your own. We can’t wait to host you!

This was a great place to stay with our son's family. It was super child friendly, we could take the grandchildren to the basement gameroom for hours of fun or hang out on the porch for ice cream. This was a beautiful home in a great location!
Clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated, well stocked, quiet neighborhood. Great setup for dogs and a gaggle of kids upstairs. Owners were great to work with. Convenient to boone and west Jefferson.
We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was lovely and well-appointed with helpful amenities like kitchenware and games. We even took the kayaks out for a float down the river! The cabin is tucked away at the top of a neighorbood but the roads are all paved (!!) and well-marked. It’s a nice jumping-off point for venturing around West Jefferson or Boone with ease. Thank you for a great three-generation weekend!
We absolutely loved this home! The Fleetwood area is beautiful, quiet & conveniently located between Boone & West Jefferson. The house was well stocked & did not lack anything! We all enjoyed the basement game room, firepit, nearby pond for fishing & sitting on the porches. Amanda was very helpful with answering questions quickly & providing recommendations for things to do & places to eat. We hope to be back soon to this great home away from home!
This place is incredible! It’s even better in real life than the pictures show. Since we had our kids along, the little touches of toys, activities, games, books etc were amazing. Everyone was so excited at every room because of the special things this house has. The owner has thought through anything you may need for a comfortable stay. We had all we needed and then some. The beds and couch were comfortable, plenty of seating and space for everyone to spread out, the three decks were so much fun to relax on. And the beauty of this area! Such a wonderful location. 11/10 would recommend! We had such a lovely stay.
I was fortunate to spend the month of July in this sweet cabin, at the top of Fleetwood Falls. The accommodations, the host, the location, and everything in between could not have been any better. Highly recommend this home if you’re considering a rental in the mountains. ❤️
I had to be in Boone for work on Friday, but we love the area so my family and mother-in-law joined us for a weekend getaway. The neighborhood was wonderful and the location is great, approximately halfway between Boone and West Jefferson, two of our favorite places to visit. The house is great for a family with multiple kids. The upstairs area with 4 twin beds is perfect for multiple children without breaking the bank to rent a house with multiple bedrooms so long as everyone is good with sharing 2 bathrooms. The living space is small, but the basement provides entertainment space and the three balconies are great for viewing the mountains or simply enjoying the mountain air. I’m sure the view in the fall is spectacular. A big plus for us was the fact that so much childproofing was already in place and that a pack n play, 2 safety gates, and extra railing for the beds was on site. Great house for a family with multiple children!
