About the host
Hosted by Roger & Kate Lemire
We are Roger & Kate Lemire and always loved to come up to Pittsburg, NH to camp, hunt, fish, snowmobile, hike, and go boating on the numerous mountain lakes and ponds. In 2000 we purchased a 2.5 acre parcel of land at the end of a ridge top private road. Back then the road to the land was a gated 4 wheel-drive one lane road. We camped out on the land the first season while working to clear a building site for a cabin we planned to build and maybe some day retire to. We would come up from Bow, NH every weekend to work the land. Roger pre-cut the frame to the original cabin at his workshop in Bow, NH and transported the lumber up to Pittsburg, NH on a trailer and then assembled the cabin. Our weekend treks to Pittsburg began to increase to include Thursdays....and then Mondays..and before we knew it we were spending more time in Pittsburg than we were at home in Bow....so we decided to sell the Bow property and make the move. 13 years later we have a greatly improved road, 12 acres of land, 2 rental cabins, and our new main lodge. We are always available to our guests to offer tips on places to fish, hunt, or snowmobile or to help with any questions or issues that may arise.
Why they chose this property
We chose this parcel of land having looked at many others because of it's location. Right off Hill Road....just a little over a mile to Young's Store....yet such a private setting a lot of local folks didn't even know where it was.
What makes this property unique
The private setting is what makes this property unique. At the end of a private road surrounded by the great north woods....no through traffic....lot's of wildlife sightings....quiet....peaceful....sunny.....
