About this property

Solitude Mountain Retreat with Stunning Views

An extraordinary Solitude Mountain Retreat awaits at this contemporary cabin! The Suite vacation rental is newly remodelled, featuring upgraded appliances, tasteful rustic decor, and a Cozy kitchen. You'll fall in love with the property's outdoor space, which includes a wraparound deck and an outdoor space with a fire pit, both offering incredible long-range mountain views. When you're not simply lounging at your home-away-from-home, hit up nearby hiking trails or other outdoor activities!

Nestled on a secluded hill, surrounded by trees, and overlooking a jaw-dropped panoramic vista of the Solitude Mountain, this modern cabin offers a tranquil vacation setting paired with luxury amenities - the perfect city escape for you and your loves ones!

Everything on the inside of the cabin has been remodelled! The suite features a magnificent window so you can wake up with your first glance at the sunrise, OR fall asleep to a high view of glimmering distanced lights! (Some guests call it the ultimate sunrise yoga spot!) The kitchen features quartz countertops and the full appliance suite for those who unwind with cooking! And for those who recharge with serene solitude, it also features a quiet sitting/reading area with views up going up the mountain.

The outside is the most entertaining feature You may not even want to leave! Be sure to at least give yourself a dedicated day to spend exploring the land of many levels and many doors.... and unwinding on comfortable chairs on the wraparound deck with nothing but mountain sounds and mountain views. The land itself has so much history and uniqueness!

If you're arriving in the winter, no need to rent a car, take the solitude Skii bus and ask them to drop you at the silver fork lodge. We're a 5-10-minute walk down the hill from there. When you're ready to head to the resorts walk back up to the lodge or mailboxes and thumb for a lift. People in the canyon is super nice and will get you there in no time.

We have parking in front of the house. If you'll have more than one car, please communicate 48 hours in advance so we can schedule a clearing with the snow plow company. You may need to coordinate parking with other guests in the building.

I live about 30 minutes away at the bottom of the canyon. While not always home, I'm always happy to help figure out solutions if you need anything.

A beautiful, quiet neighborhood tucked back in the Forrest. Outside at night you can only hear your own thoughts the city noises are far away. Look up to see a billion stars.

The direr road to the house is plowed but you'll be driving on snow driving directly on snow during the winter. You will need a 4x4 or AWD to be allowed up the canyon most days. If you try a 2wd car even with chains, you'll likely have to spend hours digging yourself out of the snow. I wouldn't recommend it, especially if there is any snow in the forecast. The Brighton bus does stop very near the house at the silver fork lodge if you needed to leave your car at the park a park 'n ride in the valley.

Your entrance is on the back porch. Be very careful when entering and exiting and watch for falling snow.

Very nice and host was in touch
We had a great time at Skyler's place! He accommodated an early check-in for us and was very responsive and available throughout the process. We decided to bring takeout food and reheat it in the microwave since it was unclear from the photos what cooking appliances were available. There is a griddle to make breakfast and some pans that could be used with it! I would bring cooking tools for anyone who likes this just to ensure you have everything you need. Overall the place was great! It was very clean and newly remodeled with a fabulous view. Bed was comfortable and the TV was a smart TV that allowed us to use movie apps and YouTube. There is also a laundry machine and dryer in unit. Thank you Skyler for accommodating us! We would stay again and recommend to a friend!

Cute little studio close to the slopes
Stayed for 4 days of snowboarding, location was great for that. Kitchen was a little limited, no stove, but they supplied a hot plate and electric griddle so that made meals doable. 4WD very necessary for getting in and out on a heavy powder week, and if visiting Brighton or Solitude you definitely need to plan ahead for parking. I had several questions for the host and they got back to me quickly and were super helpful.
