This is a beautiful, modern house designed for a couple to stay in luxury (one bedroom and one bed, open plan living room/kitchen/deck, one bathroom). The kitchen is spacious and well-appointed. The property itself is partly wooded, partly open, with a variety of wildflowers and bird life outside your picture windows. A heat pump supplies heating or cooling effectively. The mattress was softer than we prefer. At night, the living room and kitchen could use some lamps and/or under-cabinet lighting that is not as bright as the overhead spotlights and chandelier. This beautiful, secluded place is along a gravel road (well-maintained) a couple of miles from paved rural roads. There is no internet at all, but we did have cell service there. Cell service is lost in many places around Adams County, so do not plan to rely on navigation apps on your phone. The area has several nature preserves, including The Nature Conservancy's Edge of Appalachia preserves, Shawnee State Forest and State Park, Arc of Appalachia's Quiverheart Gorge, etc., which were our motive for staying nearby. It was a tranquil and delightful stay.
