Beachside with a 100 yd walk to private beach. Unobstructed view of bay with spectacular sunsets. Redesigned to accommodate multi-families. This large, four story duplex has flat screen TVs in every room. Master suite w/King size bed and 2 Queen bed rooms. Third floor with master suite bedroom that has 2 bunk beds w/trundles and entertainment area w/large flat screen TV w/DVD entertainment system and a balcony looking out directly over the Bay.
Close to the Rehoboth and Bethany boardwalks/restaurants/shops and overlooking the bay and right next the Delaware State Seashore Park.
Modern kitchen w/granite counter tops. Large family room with hardwood floor. Decks front and back on every level. Outdoor enclosed shower.

We had a great time on vacation here! Great spot, so close to the beach. House was great for multiple families, plenty of space to spread out. Very nice all around, no complaints, definitely recommend!

Thanksgiving getaway

The location is excellent. A short walk to the beach and to a local kid friendly restaurant. The beach is beautiful. Easy access to shopping outlets. House is spacious and easily accommodated 11guests ranging in ages from infant to seniors.

This was our first time to Bethany Beach. The beach is gorgeous and is just a short walk from the house. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us. We enjoyed Matt's Fish Camp right next door and other restaurants aren't far away.The master bedroom was very noisy all night long from traffic on the main road. We only used the grill once since it is not in very good shape. It would be nice if there were a few cleaning items like a sponge and a spray for kitchen clean up and also trash bags.

Our first Bethany Beach vacation stay

This house checked everything my family needed to make our first BB vacation a memorable experience. Close to the beach, a special top floor room for kids, outdoor shower, an additional refrigerator off the first floor to hold drinks to pack for the beach, walkable distance to Matt’s fish camp. And walkable distance from the beach. And we were lucky to have great beach weather. My 5 grandkids and adult children had a great time.

Beautiful Family Location

This is our second time staying at this property and it is always a hit with our family (Grandparents, Parents and kids that are all under 7). The walk to the beach is very quick and safe with little ones. The dining room table is huge, it may need refinished as it seems the finish is coming off in some places, but we could all fit comfortably to eat. Lovely home and lovely private beach.

Pirate Cove

This was our first family vacation to Bethany Beach and we ALL loved it! The property was great with LOADS of parking, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, sand toys and wagon to cart your stuff to the beach. Two refrigerators were perfect to fit all the food and drinks, three spacious bedrooms with the fourth bedroom a suite complete with couch’s (trundle beds), swivel chairs and TV for a great kid hang out. We will be booking again!

Summer highlight

This was a very well- provided, organized and comfortable vacation home. It had everything that was listed and in good shape. The arrangement of the top floor space for kids/teenagers worked well. A little more seating in the living area would be nice. The sticky dining table top was a problem.

Large home, 3 minute walk to private beach, lots of fun!

Very easy stroll to the private beach and close to shopping and restaurants. The house has everything one needs for entertaining. My party of 10 fit easily and comfortably in this house - it’s big! If you want quiet time to yourself there are 4 decks to catch rays, read a book, have a nice cup of coffee. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset from the front decks. Sunset/nighttime on the beach is perfect for the kiddos to watch and catch little ghost crabs - bring a flashlight. Property owners were very kind and accommodating. Overall, we had an enjoyable time!

We enjoy being in Bethany and this was the second year I believe in the house. It definitely needs some work. Needs to be painted and the carpeting either replaced or cleaned. There were big spots in areas. Our icemaker did not work upstairs and I put in a request to have it repaired.

Thank you for your feed back. We usually paint our units every two or three years so we will definitely look at the needs this year. We do have the carpets professionally cleaned every year but we do gets stains occasionally during the season. We will get our cleaning crew to work on those spots. Thanks again for the feed back. We work hard to keep our place clean and if we don't get feedback we don't always know where there are issues.

Somewhat noisy

The house itself was ok but the windows and doors were in desperate need of a cleaning. Upon arrival we found the toilet leaking, a hornets nest on the back porch and no battery in one of the smoke alarms so all you heard was beeping. I called Amy and she was very apologetic and sent someone the next morning. After that there were no other issues, Overall we had a nice vacation.

The Beach House

Overall, we were pleased with the facility but there are nuances that should be noted. The advertised location shows a beach, the ocean and beach chairs with comments about a hundred-yard walk to the beach. To me the underlying innuendo here is, the tenants will walk out our door onto a sand pathway to the beach 100 yards away. If you google earth it in street view (which I finally did one week before the trip; my own fault) I realized we'd be walking from a condo down the street to the sandy footpath to the beach. (With little children this makes a difference for us) We were very close to a major roadway that passes the location, so we would hear a lot of road traffic during the night. I thought the ad wasn't clear about linens, It appeared that there could be linens for our use there. But I was not certain. We happened to check with the host ahead of our trip and received a prompt response, that they did not supply linens. (My last two Vrbos supplied linens, towels etc.. so I didn't know renting linens was a thing). I understand we used this place at the end of summer after lots of heavy use. But, there was minor damage discovered that required repair. The beach umbrellas and beach cart that was offered as part of the experience were broken. The deck chairs were dirty. I felt it necessary to take pics and email her, so we didn't get assessed for any of these issues. I reported most of this to the host and she responded in kind.

Lou, I am glad that overall you were pleased with the stay but we like to out do our guests expectations so we are glad to get your feedback. I am sorry you thought that there was a 100 yard sandy path to the beach but we certainly we not trying to give that impression. We were just trying to show people a snap shot of the beach at our private beach community. and that the property was about a 100 yards from the beach. As to the linens, we try to be very clear on the website and the welcome letter that I sent to you gave you a reminder that there were not linens provided. This is the common practice in this beach community as there isn't enough labor in the local labor pool to get houses cleaned and turned with linens provided. Thanks for letting us know about the umbrellas and beach cart. We can't replace them until someone tells us they are broken. And that sometime does happen by the end of beach season. Also, thanks for letting us know about the deck chairs as we were able to get the maids to make sure they cleaned them.

Disappointed to say the least

A/C didn’t work on living room floor or top floor. 80+ degrees. It was dirty. Dirty walls. We had to Clorox the kitchen. Open Iced tea container on dinning area table. Drain in common bathroom on bedrooms floor clogged. TV situation poor. Found a maggot in glass. Top floor bathroom shower door broken. Top floor bathroom had hair on the floor and along the outside of shower. Back sliding glass door didn’t lock. Deck has unsecured wood on the steps. Lots of concerns from owner from taking shoes off to remotes getting in proper room. I feel like attention should be on many other things.

We are certainly saddened to hear that your stay was not what you had hoped for. We certainly would have had someone out to fix the A/C if we had heard from you about the problem. I was probably the first time it was used since last fall so would not have known about any problems. We also would have sent out the cleaners to correct any problems that you have had. The walls actually got painted right after your stay. As to the TVs I am not sure what the issue was as we just installed 5 new TVs and upgraded our internet connection. We do appreciate the feed back which allows us to be more proactive in fixing any outstanding issues.

Relaxing beach getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Pirate Cove. The home was spacious and accommodating for nine of us. We did experience some things around the house breaking during our stay, but the owners were very responsive. Tower Shores community and beach were very nice. Matt’s Fish Camp was super convenient and a must for dinner or carry out one night. The only downside to the location is the proximity to Coastal Hwy. There was a lot of street noise, especially on the weekends, at night.

Amy and I and our two girls have been traveling to the Outerbanks for years because we love the open beaches and non crowded atmosphere. We also enjoyed going down with multiple families and having fun sharing good times with our friends and their children. So when we looked to acquire a rental property a little closer to home(Northern Va), we looked to find something that had those same quite beaches and a place where family and friends could have memorable vacations. As a bonus we hoped to find a place that was close to nature activities, nice restaurants and social events. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that this location in North Bethany has it all. Close to the Rehoboth and Bethany restaurants and overlooking the bay, 100 yards to a non-crowded private beach and right next the Delaware State Seashore Park. We could not be happier and we hope that you enjoy your stay as well!
