Location, location, location!!!!
Lovely home located in the massanutten 4 seasons resort in the beautiful shenandoah valley situated near the top of the area known as the 'kettle.' close to the ski slopes, go carts, restaurant, golf course, arcade/gym, and miniature golf yet secluded enough away on the mountainside. This home offers 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, kitchen with a huge island, bar height dining table that seats ten. It also features a game room with a pellet stove for those cold winter nights. Enjoy the free wifi while having a cup of coffee in the bright morning sun rising above the valley on the back deck and a cocktail in the evening on the side deck while enjoying the wonderful views of the ski slopes and mountain ridge lines. Relax together on a warm summer night on the comfortable patio furniture in the screened- in porch. Prepare a delightful dinner and eat it out on the new 16 X 16 back deck which has ample table/chairs and a barbecue grill. For those less than ideal weather days there are books and board games for adults/children and an air hockey table. The children will have fun with the over-sized checkers game. The master bedroom has a 40' flat screen tv, views of the ski slopes and access to the side deck. The downstairs bedroom will appeal to the kids having 3 sets of bunk beds, private bath, and lots of floor space to play and a 50 " Roku TV. There is a huge attached garage that can easily park 2 cars and 2 separate driveways for off street parking for family and friends.

Loretta’s house was lovely and well equipped for our party of 11, including five children who loved the bunk beds and air hockey table in the basement. There was plenty of room to park our 3 cars. I can see up to 5–6 cars fitting in the parking spaces easily, and more if needed. The heating works well and there are also two furnaces which you can turn on for extra heat if needed. The kitchen is well stocked and the oven, stove, and microwave work well. Extremely close to the slopes and ski lodge. Loretta was very communicative and kind. Would definitely stay again!

This property was a fantastic place for a getaway with family and friends. It offers plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably, featuring a beautiful kitchen and a cozy living area. The basement is best designed as a fun and inviting space for kids to sleep and play. With three lovely balconies and ample parking for up to four cars—including two indoor spots.It truly has everything you need. Both adults and kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Great stay!

Our family members stayed at this home. It is a beautiful home the pictures do not even do it justice. The accommodations were above and beyond what we needed. Check in was easy. A large group is easily accommodated in this gorgeous large home. Views are spectacular!

The house had a great set up! The kitchen was well organized and had everything we needed including a crockpot! The kids loved having their own space downstairs. The living area was nice and cozy. Great location close to slopes. All positive things to say no negatives :)

Great kitchen

The photo doesn’t do justice to the size of the kitchen island. There was plenty of room to do all of our Christmas cooking. And it is well-stocked. Bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas are all clean and comfortable, and there is a lot of parking in addition to the large two car garage.

Perfect Winter Family Vacation

This house is clean and in good shape. It is just a bit dated, but in a quaint and cozy way. Love the downstairs space for entertaining and sleeping lots of grandkids. Location is great. Close to tubing and waterpark is not far. This visit is our 4th. We plan on visiting again.

Family Fun for the 4th

We really enjoyed the stay. The house was HUGE but very homey. The kiddos had a blast in the bunk and game room area. Perfect for families with energetic kids or teens that want to wander and have their own space. Multiple decks/porches gives couples a chance to seclude away from one another, while the ample living space and meal area is great for hanging out and dining as a group. Plus we got to see so many deer and groundhogs as we made our way in and around the resort!

Fun-filled Family Weekend

Location is awesome. Convenient drive to waterpark, skiing and tubing. This house is set up nicely with a well-stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Pellet stove and gas fireplace kept the place warm and cozy. Kids disappeared into the basement game room and area all to themselves. Have only been here during the winter but I think the house would be great all year round. Great VRBO house!

Doesn’t do it justice.

The listing is humble compared to our experience with this house. It very spacious, bigger than the pictures imply. We found parking ample with 6 cars easily on site, with room for more. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cookware, plates, and glasses. The community is beautiful, even though we stayed inside most of the trip. Highly recommended. We will be back next year.

The process was smooth, from the initial booking. I was pleasantly surprised at the all of the holiday decorations and Christmas tree. The instructions for everything were left clear and concise. The owners consider many things as they have items available for just in case purposes. I think that was very thoughtful. We would stay again

3rd stay here for annual family ski trip

We really appreciate this home for our annual family ski trip. 9 family members ranging in age from 14 to 65 find comfort and plenty of space to enjoy fun, games, meals, rest and more. We love being able to enjoy meals ALL at ONE table. Two or more can be cooking and preparing meals in the kitchen at one time. We forgot our "quick cooker" and a slow cooker was available for use. The home seemed cleaner this visit, than last. The two car garage is convenient and helpful, especially when unloading for a long weekend and it's snowing or raining out. We highly recommend towels and bathroom rugs throughout house be replaced.

Ok had everything we needed. Had trouble getting code and getting in. Haven’t used VRBO a lot. Would prefer person to person contact( not messages) to get better idea about what to expect regarding kitchen things like blenders crock pots. Help using code. Disappointed in the ability to recycle but it all ends up same place! Massanutten,VRBO, Owner AND RENTER should contribute to system,and enforce rules. It should be included in the cost of a good time!!! We had great time. Thank you.

Home by the Slopes

This was our first home rental experience and we were very pleased with our experience. The home owners were gracious and helpful. The house was very comfortable. We travelled with two boys who loved the downstairs room with the bunk beds, Xbox and hockey table. And we loved having them down there! The kitchen had everything you would need and more. There were windows and porches everywhere so you could enjoy all the views. The house was situated in a great location. It was literally 5 minutes to the slopes and snow tubing park. It made it ideal if you wanted to come home for lunch or take mid-day break from the slopes. The house had a garage but we didn't use it as we had nice weather. We went out to eat at Hanks BBQ one night. Very pleasant, casual place with a great beer selection. Great service too. The waterpark is about 10 minutes away and we went during at dinner time for the less expensive rate and to avoid the crowds. Kids enjoyed it for about 2 hours. Tubing was fun as well.

The host responded very quickly and was very helpful. Parking was tricky, the two promised parking spots were not well plowed. There was only one dishwasher pod so there was a lot of handwashing of dishes. The home set up was very good for a group with kids.

Why they chose this property

We thought that the Shenandoah Valley was a beautiful place to live with Massanutten being in the center of it all. It is a half days drive from NJ and even less time from other cities such as Baltimore and Washington DC. We want to open up our home to vacationers so that they can share all of the beauty and activities that Massanutten has to offer.
