About this property

LARGE Guest Suite w/private entrance, deck, and firepit, Sleeps 4, 3 queen beds

Come and see why so many guests of "1078 Hideaway" return year after year!! Located in a private, wooded setting less than a mile from downtown Nashville, the Hideaway is a large, 1350 sq. ft. ground floor suite, with 3 queen beds that comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. The suite has it's own private entrance, back yard deck, fire pit, covered parking spaces and large parking area.

The Hideaway's living room has a large 48" smart HD TV with a Blu-ray DVD player, Roku streaming box, and free WiFi access. There's a massage chair, plus both ends of the couch are recliners. Also, there's a beautiful gas log fireplace so you don't have to deal with the hassle of loading firewood. A pull-down Murphy bed containing a comfy, queen size Tempur-Pedic mattress is hidden in the wall. (Our returning guests often fight over who gets to sleep on the Tempur-Pedic!) Plus there are folding doors so you can close this room off from the rest of the apartment, allowing it to serve as a second bedroom.

The kitchen includes a stove, microwave, full-size refrigerator that is stocked with condiments (ketsup, mustard, relish) so that you don't have to bring them. And while town water is perfectly fine, we provide a water purification system so you'll have plenty of fresh filtered water for drinking and for the coffee makers (coffee press, automatic drip coffee maker, and Keurig coffee maker.) There's also a large assortment of coffees, teas, and hot chocolate for your enjoyment. Plus we stock the Hideaway with snacks, including biscotti, so you'll have something to go with your morning coffee. The kitchen is stocked with olive oil and spices, so you don't have to bring them, and if you're craving steaks or burgers, there's a gas grill just outside the back door (paper plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery provided). There's also a washer and dryer (detergent provided) if you need to do a load of laundry.

The large bedroom has two queen pillow-top beds with luxurious linens, an assortment of pillows, and a 48" smart HD TV and Roku streaming box. And the bathroom offers soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and plenty of soft towels for each guest.

Guests have the entire back of the property to themselves, which includes a large private yard with a deck, grill, table with chairs, fire pit (wood provided), and outdoor games, including corn hole and bocci ball. And we have a large parking lot, so we're trailer and mountain bike friendly.

Celebrating a special occasion? Birthday? Anniversary? Honeymoon? Let us know and we'll work with you to make your stay memorable! The Hideaway is perfect for a romantic retreat, a 'Girl's Shopping Weekend', or a family getaway! Enjoy peaceful mornings outside on the suite's large deck, sipping coffee and watching the finch and hummingbird feeders. And in the evening, grab a sweater and gather around a bonfire in the fire pit or pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy the warmth and convenience of the living room's gas log fireplace. And the Hideaway is kid and family-friendly! Explore the bookshelf filled with playing cards and board games or go outside and enjoy the huge yard. We also provide a binder in the suite with tons of local information, including restaurant menus.

The Hideaway is less than one mile from Downtown Nashville, where you can spend the day shopping, browsing art galleries, and tasting the local cuisine. And Hard Truth Hills Restaurant and Distillery is literally just down the hill! One mile to the east is Brown County State Park, with its hiking and biking trails, lakes, picnic areas, swimming pools, and horseback riding. "eXplore Brown County" zip lines and the Salt Creek Golf Course are a quick drive from the house. Columbus and the Edinburgh Premium Outlets are only a 25 minute drive to the east. Lake Monroe and Bloomington (IU) are a short 30 minute drive to the west! There's lots close by to enjoy!

SELF CHECK-IN: We have a self check-in process (No contact with owners, unless you want to meet us.). Check-in is at 3 pm, but if the Hideaway was unoccupied the night before, you may be able to check in early. BUT CONTACT THE OWNER *FIRST* REGARDING AN EARLY CHECK-IN to make sure it's possible. Electronic door code will be sent via text on your arrival day.

SELF CHECK-OUT: Check-out is at 11 am. in order to provide adequate time to thoroughly clean and sanitize the Hideaway after each stay.

Maximum occupancy is 4 guests. Children are welcome, but parents are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children.

Ample pillows, towels, and linens are provided, however we do not provide daily housekeeping services or guest meals.

Sorry, NO PETS and NO SMOKING, although guests are welcome to smoke on the deck.

Two night minimum stay.

PLEASE NOTE: The upper level of the Hideaway is the owner's space, and while we're a quiet couple, you may occasionally hear faint creaking of the floors when we're there.

A gem
Excellent communication with the owner. She responded almost immediately to my inquires. The hideaway was a perfect location, just minutes from the downtown area yet it felt like we were in the country. It was very private and quiet. The owner seemed to anticipate every possible need that her guests might have. Cleanliness was 10+. We hope it is available if we are in the area.

cute hide-away convenient to everything!
Just has a wonderful stay this past weekend, the place is convenient to the shopping and activities of Nashville, and it just a couple minutes from the North gate of Brown County State Park. We elected to drive to the park, but with an eye toward traffic, it wouldn't be hard to bike there and save a few bucks on parking. The place was clean and well-stocked and Gerri was terrific and assisted us with bike storage. Quiet neighborhood and very relaxing! We will be back!

Weekend stay
Wonderful accommodations - owners go above and beyond to stock you with anything needed...coffee pods, bathroom soaps, breakfast bar, laundry soap and a generous gift of local wine! They are quick to respond for help on where to eat, shop or hike. It made our weekend so relaxed and enjoyable!

We fell in love with Nashville and Brown County in 2010 and moved here the first chance we could! It was the best decision we ever made!!!

Why they chose this property

Nashville takes great pride in it's small town appeal, slower pace, and friendly people. It's truly a rare find in today's day and age! And '1078 Hideaway' reflects that same friendly, laid back feeling. Set way back off the road and surrounded by woods, the Hideway is the perfect spot to relax and getting away from it all. And when you're ready to start exploring Brown County, we're less than a mile from downtown Nashville's shops and restaurants and many area attractions, including the Brown County State Park and the Salt Creek Golf Course. Come join us and discover why Nashville is so special! We know you'll create many wonderful memories here and will be anxious to come back!
