This inviting 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom lower unit is designed to prioritize comfort and quality time with loved ones at the beach. Ideally located just across from the Oceanic Restaurant, Crystal Pier, and beach access, this property ensures you’re only moments away from the area’s best attractions.

“Craft Lower” embraces a traditional beach cottage aesthetic, with a focus on simplicity and functionality. The well-equipped kitchen allows for convenient meal preparation, though please note there is no dishwasher included. The open concept living and dining area creates a welcoming space for families to gather, making it the perfect setting for creating lasting memories.

The unit features two guest rooms with full-size beds and a third bedroom with two twin beds, offering versatile accommodation options for all types of vacationers. The charming remodeled walk in shower stall is a nod to this history of this home and to serves all guest rooms. Notably, there are no stairs required to access this property, making it a rare and accessible choice for individuals, couples, or multi-generational families with children.

Stay Requirements: Flexible arrivals in summer with a 3-night minimum stay. Minimum of 2-night stay in other seasons.
Bedding Configuration: 2 Full, 2 Twins.
Parking: Parking for 2 cars in the driveway.
Pet Policy: Pet Policy: Dogs welcome as an optional add-on for this property with a non-refundable fee of $250 + tax that is charged per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs per reservation. Charge will be added after booking when the option to bring a pet and number of pets are selected. Nonrefundable fees are listed in the House Rules and animals must be disclosed via the Rental Agreement. Fees are not included automatically when booking on VRBO and must be paid separately to the host if you wish to bring a pet(s). Failure to disclose and prepay for dogs will result in penalty fees which are disclosed in House Rule #16.  

Prohibited: Smoking, Use of Fireplace, RV’s, Boats, Boat Trailers, Charging Golf Carts, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

Wrightsville beach house 1/2 block from the ocean

Smooth check in. I actually thought from the listing it was beach front. Not far to walk but couldn’t see the ocean from our house. An outdoor place to rinse off the sand would have been nice. But overall very quaint. I would stay there again.

Great location and old school charm

The place was great inside. The shower could be a bit bigger put it worked. It would have been nice to have an outdoor shower or hose to get off the sand better before coming in the house. We had family over that live in wilmington so the front yard was ideal to have dinner outside. The outside chairs are in really bad shape ... rusted on the legs so they dont set even and on the arms so you could cut yourself. We had brought our own chairs so thst helped. All in all is was just what we needed at a great price.

Great location

We enjoyed the house. It was comfortable enough for us. We were disappointed with the condition of the “yard”. It would have been more enjoyable had the lawn been mowed, weeds pulled, shrubs trimmed into a neat appearance, instead it had a small pile of tree trimmings in the center, weeds everywhere and the lawn looked like it had not been tended to In months. Also, this was a pet friendly house, I urge all renters to pick up after their dogs, there were a number of piles not removed and it is only a small courtyard so very annoying.

Location great- Not clean

The location was in middle of ocean and sound so it was great BUT it was not clean! Floors filthy they did send someone who went over them but still built up dirt! The shower was so small you could hardly turn around and to get the water on took both hands and hard jerking. Terrible especially for 3 bedrooms. The one full bath was not accurate description. Small fence area was nice outside for dogs. Would not stay again

Also the floors, while swept or vacuumed, could use a deep cleaning, as they left our feet black. Otherwise, we would stay there again. The whole place is spacious. The four of us didn't feel cramped at all, other than sharing one bathroom. Cute artwork on the walls, good light mostly, and a writer's nook should anyone take the notion. The covered porch is great for reading and meals as well.

Perfect location but needs Home improvements

Awesome location by the beach/ restaurants however - Needs an upgrade, noise above my head from other renters was disturbing, smell due to uncleanliness needs to be a a little modernize and more lighting. Door code and door knob was very difficult to handle .. ( reiterating) I believe that it would have been great for renting the entire house - also major upgrade would have been desired . Fresh paint , cracks could have been sealed and get rid of the extreme dust !! Electrical units for charging up laptops and phones the current was not strong enough .. the dead rat in the driveway..

Reviewer Comments: i took the property for what it was considering it was built in 1948. it is at a convenient location, but view is lacking everything. as for the furniture, could be a more dated, plus the couch had a cat urine smell. the amenities were far and few. i would have given the management a 5 star,but i was never sent the entry code,and after 2 calls to office stating that code would be sent, which i have yet to receive. it was almost 5pm till we got entrance. even with the issues, i would consider this property for another stay mainly due to convenience.

This was also the first time I have stayed at a pet friendly place. If this is what you get for almost $2000 for five days. It’s not worth it. We sat outside in the rusted out bottom chairs a lot. The smell was not good. I did not cook or make coffee in the kitchen. We did not sit on the couches at all. Will I rent from Bryant realty again??? No I will not! This was definitely not the cleaning company at fault.

Reviewer Comments: This place has a great location, a nice little front yard for pets, and the tile floors throughout made it so easy for our two senior dogs. We had trouble finding a place on the first floor (because beach, of course) that was also pet friendly and this place was a great find with a nice fenced in yard attached to a patio. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for somewhere simple to bring kids without carting things up stairs, or to bring dogs for the same reason. Some things about the modified floorplan are "unique", but such is the reality (and the fun!) of any older home. It simply does the trick.One note: be careful when booking, the shower is quite small, so while it is a more accessible unit in terms of being first floor, the shower is not accessible/large enough to accommodate mobility aids or stools. If it were I, I would forgo the small closet in the east bedroom and expand the shower into that space to make the unit accessible, since it is first floor and all.

It was so smelly and when you sit on the couch it intensifies as it heats up. Also, mildewy smell from being a basement also pretty bad. The front yard was not mowed when we showed up and the yard is not fully enclosed in case anyone uses it for pets or kids. The gate lock on the pathway was missing. Other than that, great location a block from the ocean and from coffee shop and seafood a restaurant. It was quiet, lots of living space, small bathroom, and had most equipment that would be needed for the kitchen. I also found it frustrating that there was supposed to be starter dish soap but all that was provided was a dishwasher tab...but there is no dishwasher in the unit. Airbnbs typically provide more soaps and such.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have rented a couple of times before with Bryant and there haven’t been any problems, so trust had been built. But this last experience is one I won’t forget. As I walked up to the entrance I noticed 18” grass in the small front yard and then a broken screen door with screens actually flapping. When I opened the front door, I was hit by the pungent smell of urine. Human? Animal? Probably both. My eyes watered as I walked around looking for what it could be. As I did that, my mind went to “I need a lawyer,”....and I don’t typically think that way. The unit was straight but would NOT say “clean.” I immediately called a family friend in the area and they came to my rescue and let me stay with them as I communicated with Bryant Real Estate about the situation. I asked for a 75% refund. I only got $700 back of the total ($2800). I feel completely scammed and have already warned others.

The check in and getting to home was excellent and so was the location! However the home was in terrible condition. The entire home referencing the lower unit. Was in terrible condition! To begin the home is advertised as fenced in a 1 foot and half wall is not fenced. Also the lawn has not been mowed yet this year grass was over a foot tall. Notified Bryant realty that lawn needed to be mowed said that lawn was not their responsibility but the owners and said they would notify them. Also the home had severe mold issues as it could be smelled when entering and seen on the walls! Also the hvac filter had not been Changed in quite some time! The floors were dirty as you walked in your bare feet they would turn black. The home was advertised as pet friendly and fenced in! Also the was professionally cleaned and sanitized as you can imagine it was neither. I under stand there are different levels of quality in this industry but this should be embarrassing for the owner and realtor to rent a unit out in this condition. Also forgot to mention the roach infastation. Please keep in mind folks like us do t get but a couple weeks a year to vacation so renting and advertising a unit as such should be so. Wrightsville is a beautiful area and would love to return!

Worst Rental Experience ever

Reviewer Comments: When we first opened the door to the property, the smell of mold was overwhelming. We got into the house late, as we arrived from the West coast, so this was an unpleasant start to our vacation. I had to walk around the house opening all the windows to get the smell to lessen. The house is overall very run down. The couches smell like dirty dog (I did find out from a local who used to live there that this is one of the few properties that allows dogs, so the smell now makes sense). The house has ZERO cleaning supplies. No broom, no dishsoap, no sprays to wipe anything down, nothing. Only one of the rooms has a dresser and a closet (no hangers), the other two rooms have closets but no hangers. So where are we supposed to put our clothes if there are no hangers or dressers? We were visiting for a wedding, and we needed to iron most of our clothes. The house has no ironing board or iron and the management company wouldn't provide one when I called. I was told I needed to bring my own hangers, my own hair dryer, and evidently my own iron. The management company did find a hair dryer, which I had to drive to go pick up. That was the only thing that they helped with. The house is also infested with cockroaches. When we came in the next night from being out to dinner, when we turned the lights on, we have several roaches scatter, and we found one in my sons bed! At night, there are roaches all outside the walls, so I now know where they are coming from. If you open the closets, you will see old flooring that has been pulled up, and much to my husband's surprise, it has asbestos. When you first walk into the house, instead of using a regular carpet runner, they put down individual squares of carpet, then kind you use in an office. Little do they realize that the squares move, and several times we alomost fell because there is nothing holding them in place. The rugs are all filthy in the house. This was the worst rentals I've ever experienced.

Close But No Cogar

This property is in dire need of an update. The tile floor was cracked and covered with carpet remnants. The rooms were a good size and linens and towels were adequate.The lighting was atrocious, hard core florescent.The kitchen had a patchwork of pots. The toaster did not work but later I was told the GFI was tripped! I doubt this as the toaster oven fired up but only one element worked. We paid $200 extra for our dog which was not warranted.The yard had not been mowed the whole season.All in all I would give it 2/5.
