Great location, close enough to the beach it was convenient, but not too close I had to worry about the kids wondering towards the water. Great communication with the owner.
Steven's Seahorse Inn is just close enough to the seawall, pier and East Beach area that it is convenient but not so close that it is outrageously overpriced (as many places seem to be in Galveston). His place is spacious, clean and welcoming.
Place was perfect for our needs and would stay again. Loved the stove/oven. Would suggest owner mow back yard when knowing renter is due. It was a bit high and difficult to play yard games. Also suggest kitchen be better equipped. Suggest colander, large pot, microwaveable glass cook ware/bowls, extra dish rags, dish towels. All needed badly. Also when the place holds 10 people, suggest that owner supply 10 sets of silverware and glass ware. We were short by several. Also suggest WiFi password be left on table so renter can access. Additionally, suggest directions be given ahead of stay for where outside trash can is for garbage.
Good: great location, close to beach, in a safe area. We were able to walk to the beach was high priority for us. The house is cute and as described. We had everything we needed for cooking during our week there. It was great to have a washer and dryer for washing towels.
Bad: didn’t get check in information up front, we had to wait on the porch for a text message for code. The one sleeper sofa was broken the other one was very uncomfortable. We couldn’t get the latch on the bathroom door to lock so we just had to make sure everyone was good about knocking. We weren’t told where to put trash, I guess yrs located in a back alley which I was told after we checked out. The backyard was way to overgrown to enjoy or utilize outside shower which would’ve been wonderful. There was also a trash bag left from previous stay that was spread out on patio area. There are paper blinds or no blinds so there are areas of the house that don’t give you privacy such as the living room and dining area.
