The host was extremely welcoming and please to work with. It was a very fair distance to seven springs and made the trip that much more enjoyable. Absolutely awesome cabin with plenty of space for our group!

Adorable lodge. Clean with comfortable beds. Good amenities and nice shower. There are two bedrooms upstairs (queen bed room and a room with 4 twins beds). Our family of five all stayed upstairs - the kids loved the twin room. There is another bedroom downstairs. The kitchen can use a larger frying pan but is otherwise well appointed. We would stay there again!

This cabin was perfect for our son's 14th birthday fishing sleepover! Perfect bedroom downstairs for us while the boys had their own space upstairs. So many places to fish within a half hour! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a one-night stay. We would definitely stay again!

5 stars! Beautiful, spacious, comfy, cozy cabin. Stayed for thanksgiving weekend fully equipped kitchen for cooking and eating.Cabin had everything we needed for everything. Plenty of space for family of 6(children between the ages 1and 13) Board games, puzzles, firepit, plenty of land for outdoor play. Lake is in walking distance. Hunting for my husband! Highly recommend if you are looking to get away and disconnect. The only thing I suggest is take a baby gate for stairs if you have tiny ones. We used furniture to block stairs. Will definitely visit again.

Comfortable, modern, beautiful

We enjoyed the cabin so much. It was so aesthetically pleasing and comfortable with very modern amenities. The teens with us loved it as well. Would love to go back for a longer stay! Only suggestion is need for additional pots and pans otherwise, PERFECT!!!!

Family trip to Seven Springs

The interior of the lodge is very well done! The owner was very responsive. It was clean but the stainless steel appliances should be cleaned on the outside and the garbage can needs a quick wash. We walked in to the lodge and it was cold and with the heating system it takes a while to warm up. Ask the owner to turn the heat on before your arrival. Come prepared with coffee, food etc, the location is very remote with very little nearby! We found a cute family restaurant but didn’t come with coffee and nothing was close. The drive to seven springs wasn’t bad but plan on 15-20 min drive.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! Our routine is to have the heat on prior to guest arrivals; however, with your reservation coming in just hours before your arrival, it may not have had enough time to reach the ideal temperature. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused. You’re (semi) right about the lodge’s remote location—it’s one of the things we love most, as it offers a peaceful and private retreat. That said, while the larger grocery store (Giant Eagle) is a 20-minute drive into town, there are closer options. Family Dollar is only 3 miles from the cabin, and there’s a Dollar General and gas station/general store in Rockwood, just under 6 miles away. For dining, the Trenthouse Inn offers breakfast and lunch daily and is less than 4 miles from the cabin. Dough Girls Pizza, located just 3 miles away across from Family Dollar, is another great option. All this information, along with other local tips, is available in the Welcome Book provided to our guests upon arrival. Thanks again for staying with us and sharing your thoughts. We hope to welcome you back in the future!

Very pretty cabin, poor comms with host

Pros:This cabin is fairly new and very cute. Slept our family of five all comfortably, kitchen was nicely appointed. Cons:WiFi didn’t work well at all if you want to stream anything. Also lights flicker in every room if the dimmer is at full brightness. Bring your own towels as well, the ones provided are very small and threadbare, although there were enough. No trash bags were provided. The biggest issue is that communication with host wasn’t great. We asked to switch to the following weekend (which was available) and never heard back, had to track down host via VRBO after several days only to be told it was too short of notice to switch and then lectured on VRBO policy, despite the fact that host clearly doesn’t bother following VRBO policy himself. Then had to track down check in information from host day before because wasn’t sent and also never received any sort of welcome packet, so it was unclear what was available at the house and what wasn’t. Overall it was a stressful rental experience.

We would like to address a few points regarding the recent review we received. We value transparency and always aim to provide our guests with the best experience possible. The guest requested a change to their reservation on December 26th, just three days before their scheduled check-in. The request was made due to an unfavorable weather forecast. While we understand the concerns regarding weather conditions, we have a very short season, and accommodating such last-minute changes We explained our policy to the guest, Heather, emphasizing the difficulties associated with altering reservations on short notice during our peak season. Unfortunately, Heather was not satisfied with our explanation or policy. We deeply regret any inconvenience or stress this may have caused her. Commitment to Quality We strive to make every stay perfect and are committed to providing consistent quality experiences for all our guests. We feel confident that our track record demonstrates this commitment, and we continually work towards maintaining high standards.
