We loved the month we spent here. It’s an easy walk to downtown but far enough away to avoid the weekend crowds and traffic. The kitchen and living area are a good size, and there was plenty of room for 3 adults to spread out for remote work. Hope to return!
We had a fantastic stay, beautiful cabin in a great location a short walk from downtown and close to multiple ski resorts. Everything worked as expected, the neighbors were nice, and Renee was a great host.
Loved the beauty of Georgetown and the location of this home. It’s only a short walk to downtown. The house was well stocked and clean. We all loved our stay!
Comfortable and Cozy Stay in Perfect Georgetown Cottage
We LOVED our stay at the Georgetown Cottage, so much so that we're already planning our next trip! The home was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed for our ski season stay. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were renovated and clean, and the kitchen had all of the necessary cookware/dishware to make meals at home. Walking distance to the downtown area, quiet and very comfortable. Renee was a gracious host, super responsive and friendly! We were sad to check out but will be happy to return next year!
Renee’s place in Georgetown is fantastic. An easy 50 minutes from Denver and 45 minutes to Copper Mountain, 30 minutes to Arapahoe Basin/Winter Park. The PERFECT spot for a Colorado ski trip. The property is in close proximity to Idaho Springs “Indian Hot Springs” and finer dining in Silverthorne. Food in Georgetown itself is hit or miss as some places close earlier than advertised. Renee’s property has high speed wifi, a fully functional kitchen with all the necessities and enough bed space for friends/family to visit. I loved the super comfy living room with and warm fireplace. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I’m so glad you had a nice stay, Jonathan. Hope to have you back again.
The house is spacious and well-appointed and includes two nice bathrooms (with plenty of hot water in the showers!) and a large kitchen with updated applicances and all you need to comfortably cook and serve meals and have a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The house is located in the charming little Victorian mining town of Georgetown, a short walk from the small shopping area. Renee was an excellent host, always very responsive to any minor complaints or questions I had. If your stay is primarily for skiing as mine was, Loveland Ski area is super convenient (about 15 mins. away) and Keystone is only about 40 mins. away (except in bad weather when Loveland Pass or the Eisenhower Tunnel of I-70 can make the trip more challenging).

Really great mountain vacation!
This cottage was so incredibly charming! It is located within steps of the the creek which we enjoyed very much. It was nice to hear the water throughout the day and night. The house was in walking distance to the cute shops and restaurants on main street which also including a library and several small museums. The owners were very delightful and easy to work with. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and we were very comfortable as far as sleeping arrangements and just having great quality family time. In addition to what Georgetown had to offer, we loved the proximity to additional hiking, biking and visiting nearby mountain towns. Hermans Gulch was a great hike that our family of five really enjoyed and was just minutes away. We didn't have time to visit the lake in Georgetown but plan to on a future visit. Overall the entire stay was a 10+ experience and we look forward to returning for future visits! Thank you for helping us create such valuable family memories!

We are so happy this family had a wonderful time! The cottage and Georgetown are the perfect combination for quality family time.
This was our second stay here and we love this house and Georgetown. The house has everything you need and is in a great location. We love to take a quick walk downtown or to Rutherford trail. Kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. We hope to be back!!
We enjoyed our time in Georgetown. There is so much to do. The house is perfect and in a great location, walks to the downtown area were a treat. Hosts are very responsive and accommodating.
Really loved staying here for a month. The modern feel of the house suited us perfectly and we had everything we needed for a great visit to Georgetown. Renee is an amazing host and was very responsive whenever we had questions throughout the month. The location is also perfect. Georgetown is still a quaint, mountain town, but is still so close to numerous other cities and towns, you're never far from what you need. We're already considering coming back next year!
Great location. Very comfortable house. Well appointed
We loved the house and location the neighbors were very friendly. Enjoyed the herd of deer that live in town. A great dog park nearby for those who bring a pet.

Perfect Mountain Hideout
We stayed in this gorgeous home for 7 weeks, November - mid December . It was absolutely perfect . We knew nothing about Georgetown and although we were a little tentative entering this tiny town at first, we quickly fell in love with its charm .
The house is in a fantastic location , a very short walk into town . The town has an excellent little brewery , Mexican , Italian and Vietnamese . Our favorites were the Mexican , the Alpine and the Vietnamese . Don't miss out on Kaffehuset Coffee shop and the Cake shop !!
Additionally, Frisco and Silverthorne are approx 30 mins further up I70 where there is a Wholefoods and Target . Another 15 and you are in Breckenridge . My husband was in and out of Denver airport a few times and said it was an easy journey , approx 1 hour. The locals are all lovely and very proud of their town.
The house is surrounded by charming old houses, so you never isolated but the quiet is lovely . I spent just over a week and a half there by myself and felt very safe the whole time . We had a family of deer that we used to see walk past the house daily ,which is beautiful to watch . Especially when the place is blanketed in snow.
Renee was kind enough to allow us to bring our dogs , they are large breed and the fenced in yard was perfect for them.
The house itself is ideal . We are just 2 adults and 2 dogs but there is plenty of room to accommodate more guests. The decor is nice and the sofas are comfortable , which was ideal after the hiking and walking . A nice big dining table and the kitchen is very well stocked with appliances , pots , pans and tableware . Wifi and cell service is spot on .
We were very sad to leave Georgetown and this lovely little cottage, we will definitely be back .

Perfect location for a family get away.
The house is well suited for adults and children. Comfortable beds and very clean. We felt right at home and throughly enjoyed Georgetown. There are several parks that our grandchildren loved. We built a snowman and left him there with his black hat, red scarf, carrot nose, button eyes and coal mouth. Thank you Renee for sharing your home with us. We made memories we will never forget.

REFLECTING ON OUR STAY AT GEORGETOWN COTTAGE
May be the best vacation rental in Georgetown! This is what sticks out in our minds after returning home.
1. TRUE TO ITS ADVERTISING. Not only is this property description and photos true to its advertising, but they are better.
2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The cottage is a couple blocks off the historic strip, but far enough away to feel secluded. The creek is close enough to hear and everything is in walking distance. It’s corner lot with lots of parking in front and side.
3. PERFECT CHILL-ZONE. When I get away I want to relax. This property has comfortable furniture, large flat screen TV, games, reading material, outdoor seating, good cell signal, wifi, movies, and is cable ready. The extra TV in the master bedroom was a bonus!
4. FAMILY FRIENDLY. From space, bedding, bathrooms, towels and kitchen supplies, the cottage is really convenient in accommodating families. My adult kids joined us at different parts of our stay and the place was big enough for everyone to be comfortable and yet have privacy.
5. VERY FUNCTIONAL KITCHEN. Part of the reason we pay more for a vacation rental is to be able to have breakfast and easily cook dinner in the house. The kitchen was stocked with extra spices and a few condiments, stainless steel appliances, plenty of dishes, pans, cups and glasses and just about everything you need to cook a great meal. Table seats six and there’s even outdoor seating and a grill on the patio.
6. GOOD BEDS. I have a bad back so the biggest bummer traveling is the cheap mattresses and squeaky beds. Not so in this place. There were good mattresses, extra blankets and sheets, clean linens and pillows.
7. PET ACCOMMODATIONS. Our dog is as much a part of my family that we could not vacation without him. Not only does this owner accommodate certain pets, but the house and fenced in yard makes taking them so much easier.
8. REASONABLE PRICE. Everything from the price, cleaning fee to check-in and check-out times were very reasonable. The payment methods were safe and reliable.
9. THOUGHTFUL OWNER. The owner sent an email with all the helpful information including things we would have forgot.
10. GUANELLA PASS: This cottage is at the bottom of Guanella Pass. Takes twenty-five minutes to drive up the summit and see lakes, streams, majestic views, wildlife and everything else that makes Colorado ground zero for majestic scenery.
We’ll be back!

Great place to stay in Colorado
Great location in the mountains with easy access to surrounding activities. The house was decorated beautifully and had every amenity you could want. Our stay was very comfortable and easy. Only thing that could have made it better was if the house had a hot tub for us to soak in after running the half marathon we were out there for.

beautiful and comfortable!
The cottage is very nicely decorated, very comfortable and in a great location. We had everything we could possibly need. Only a few blocks from the shops downtown. There were six of us having a "girls' weekend" and we couldn't have been happier with the accomodations. Georgetown is a great little mountain town rich with history, and some great museums.

Relaxing!
My brothers and I have gathered here for the past 2 years for a weekend reunion. We love the nice outdoor patio with lots of seating space and this year really enjoyed the new upgrades with the new kitchen appliances and remodeled bathrooms! There were 3 couples total and there was more than enough room for all of us. It's very conveniently located just blocks from downtown and enjoy walking around beautiful, historical Georgetown from the home. We will definitely hope to keep coming back year after year! Rene has always responded kindly and very quickly to my emails. I would definitely recommend this place!

About the host
Hosted by Renee
Our family loves spending time in the mountains skiing, hiking, and relaxing. As a realtor, Renee loves helping people find their dream homes.
Why they chose this property
We love Georgetown and the charm of the historic small town. It is close to Denver and skiing and has amazing views.
Since we are not able to be in Georgetown all the time, we decided to rent it out so that other people can enjoy the space and have as much fun as we do.
What makes this property unique
Relaxing is our number one priority, but we also enjoy the malts at the soda shop, cupcakes from Cake, hiking and walking, playing at City Park, and skiing nearby.
