I booked this property because it was described as calm, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and safe. I was traveling with my 88-year-old mother, so those qualities were especially important.Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. Immediately upon entering the unit—before we had even unpacked—there was a very loud and disturbing incident directly above us. The entrance to the upstairs unit is right next to this one, and a woman was screaming obscenities, yelling for someone to come accompanied by loud banging, stomping, and what sounded like heavy objects being thrown down the stairs. This went on for about 15 minutes.I attempted to contact the host, but there was no cell service in the area, which made the situation even more concerning. The noise only stopped after I made it known that we could hear everything. I felt extremely unsafe and genuinely concerned for both my mother and myself.As we were leaving—without ever unpacking—my mother fell down the concrete stairs, which had no railing. This was a serious safety hazard. The woman from upstairs came out but offered no apology or explanation.We left immediately and checked into a hotel. I contacted the host to explain the situation and requested a refund due to both the incident and the clearly inaccurate description of the property. The host responded by claiming the disturbance was caused by a child “freaking out” over a spider. That explanation does not reasonably account for the
