Being renovated in December 2013, it offers a tasteful interior. Situated on the ground floor of a building that dates back to 1300, it adds a touch of history to your stay. The proximity to the theater 'La Pergola', Santa Maria Nuova hospital, and Piazza del Duomo makes it an ideal base for exploring the city.

With its close proximity to Santa Croce and the Duomo, you'll have easy access to some of the best areas of Florence. These areas are not only known for their vibrant atmosphere with bars and restaurants but also for their rich cultural heritage, including numerous churches and museums.

The apartment itself features two double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped small kitchen, and a small courtyard. Great place to stay

We were able to walk everywhere we wanted from this Vrbo. We were able to access the tourist parts of Florence while also being able to go to places that were recommended by locals.

Great locations, Close to Duomo

The property was clean and easy to check-in. It is in a great location within walking distance to all the major sites. The host and manager were quick to respond to any requests and needs. Italian bathrooms and showers are normally small; however, the bathrooms and showers were larger than expected. Plenty of space throughout the apartment that we appreciated. The pictures listed do not show the updated bathrooms or kitchen / cooking area. I would recommend this place again as it meets all our needs.

Amazing time in Florence!!

We had an incredible time in Florence with a large part of it being the location and ease of this VRBO! This was the most spacious place we have stayed throughout our Italian stay and absolutely loved it. The location is amazing and walkable to so many great restaurants/bars. Would recommend to anyone!

adequate place to stay

The apartment was clean, the beds comfortable, and well-located to all the places we wanted to visit. The negatives are that the place is very dark - no outside windows except one in the front bedroom, covered by drapes; the layout of the place is not conducive to cooking if that's what you have in mind. we planned to cook breakfast but gave up as it was too much trouble to work with no counter space or any easy access to electrical outlets for toaster & coffeemaker. Communication with host was a problem when the wiFi went out. They told us twice - or maybe 3x - in emails how to reset the router and where it was. We looked all over in the place they pointed us to, also where we thought it could have been, and in the place that their information book said the router was & it wasn't anywhere we could find. We were without wifi until someone came the next day while we were gone & fixed - and sent a later email saying the router was located somewhere else - on a shelf in the second bedroom (which was way over anyone's head and required a ladder or chair to see) - and not where they originally told us. We had to buy toilet paper the 3rd day into our 7 day stay which is unusual with VRBO. . So all in all, we wouldn't stay there again but if you just want a clean place to sleep close to most tourist sites, it's good. We had just come from a rental in Rome and a wonderful host so maybe we were expecting too much.

Hello Marica, I'm really disappointed of what you have experienced staying in my place. But you should have said everthing because you experienced only one afternoon without wi-fi. The company in charge to manage the apartment went the same day you email me about the wi-fi. So this wasn't a problem at all. The kitchen is small, it's true but it's perfectly working. The toaster and coffeemaker are located outside the kitchen near the table so it' really easy to access this devices and use them. If you finished the toilet paper you should had let us know...we provide 2 toiltes paper per bathroom. In the end the darkness...we are at the ground floor and as all the ground floor in the historical Florence city center the lights is not so much. We have a small courty yard and 3 rooms each with one window. So the apartment is not so dark as you described but also not so full of light as one at first or second floor.

Plus and Minus

The property had some nice updates and was convenient to everything. However, it was not as clean as I would have liked. The beds were fresh and clean. We did not have WiFi the whole time we were there. We did receive a refund for this, but not having it was a real inconvenience. The person who met us as the property was not very available and was in a great hurry to leave. We did not get questions answered. We had a power outage -- our fault -- because we had not learned the limits of the electrical power. We had to make three calls to reach someone to help us.

Sometimes it can happen...anyway I gave you a refund for this. As the owner I'd like to know what was not so clean as you expected because the company that is in charge of cleaning is very scrupulous and I never found something wrong with them. Quiet cozy perfection!

June 2018 Gianluca's apartment was absolutely the perfect place for our family of 5 trip to florence. Everything was in walking distance and in perfect location to get around. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like the pictures on the site, which is a huge plus. We were welcomed and provided all the necessary information to make out stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had a wonderful time in florence and really enjoyed the sites and excursions. A few highlights of our trip in florence and our stay at this apartment, were climbing the steps to the top of the duomo and just being able to go to the town squares where we ate, laughed and just took it all in. We highly recommend walkabout tours where we did a whole day tour which was a cooking farmhouse tour. We walked through mercado centrale shopped for ingredients and went to a beautiful Tuscan farmhouse and cooked a 5 course meal all together with isaac our guide who is a chef and translater for lovely carmella who was absolutely amazing and showed us how to prepare these meals. It was by far one of my favorite parts of the whole entire trip to italy. We cant thank gianluca and all the wonderful people of florence enough for there generosity and warm welcome. Beautiful & great location, yet....

Granted that we were in Florence during a heat wave but the air conditioner (perhaps a city regulation?) goes off automatically at 11:30 pm which made sleeping difficult. There was a room air fan but the motor was so noisy that the people in the other room couldn't sleep. The air conditioner in the larger bedroom was noisy too and the air that came out was minimally cool. On the positive side they did give us another fan and an extra set of keys when requested. The apartment was beautiful and so close to the Duomo. The wine/coffee shop down the street was delightful!!

Hello, First of all thank you for your review. Unfortunately the ac off is a city regulation. After your review we checked the noisy fan that you mentioned but we didn't find so noisy as you wrote. I agree with you about the ac in the main bedroom that we found not so cool as it should have been maybe it's a technical problem and we immediately activate the assistance to fix it. Despite this inconvenience I hope you enjoy your stay and the city.

Perfect Florence apartment!

This apartment is in a perfect location for exploring Florence! We stayed here with our 3 children and my mother in law and were very comfortable. The apartment was immaculately clean and well maintained. It is on a quiet street but just minutes away from the Duomo. The management was very nice and easy to communicate with. They even helped us book a taxi when we were leaving.

The apartment was very nice. The location was centrally located and within walking distance of all the major sites. The apartment had a washing machine but no dryer, which is typical in Italy. For some reason I could not my tablet to the WiFi but my phone connected easily. I would recommend this two bedroom apartment to anyone visiting Florence.

Awesome apartment and perfect location!

I stayed at Pacanti House with my husband and three kids. It was perfect. Gianluca and the rental company were very responsive an helpful. The location is perfect--in the heart of Florence and so close to the Duomo and everything else. We felt like we lived in Florence--not just tourists. We were also there during the extended heatwave in Europe and were so grateful that this place had air conditioning, an extra bonus! When we go back to Florence, we will definitely be staying there atain. Thank you Gianluca!

Brilliant apartment In a sensational city

We stayed at this apartment for 3 days while discovering Florence with 2 kids and a dog and this apartment was perfect in size, location and facilities. The apartment is exactly as in the pictures and apparently has been cared for by Gianluca with great pride and love. It is 2 minutes from Piazza Duomo which is the perfect starting point to discovering the great city of Florence. It is also 5 minutes from a number of eating joints, bakery and even mini-marts should you feel the need to cook. If I go back to Florence, I would surely try to stay here again.

amazing stay

Very nice apartment in a charming neighborhood area. Great access to shopping and restaurants. Great little bakery near the apartment. We spent countless hours early mornings and late evenings, a really fun place! The apartment was great for our family of four and Gianluca made certain that we understood everything and was there for anything we needed. Highly recommedned!
