Me and my son and a couple buddies rented this place. Location was very nice and quiet until some heavy truck traffic goes by on the state road. The house is a little bit outdated with no air conditioning so it’s probably very good in the winter time for skiing. Overall we had a good stay

Historically, houses in this part of the country did not have AC, because of the elevation. As number of hot days (90 degrees F) has began increasing in last years, some owners considered installing window AC units. I chose to preserve house's historic look and feel, I planted trees to create shade, I installed attic vents and took other steps to mitigate rising summer temperatures. Because we are surrounded by lush mountains, temperatures drops quickly after sunset to a very comfort levels to sleep. The absence of AC is clearly disclosed in listing, the guest booked this trip 6 months in advance, and you would think, he should have done good enough research to find a place, that would meet his demands for comfort, and yet, he felt compelled to complain and call house outdated. The guest has never expressed any concerns before or during his stay, so I find this review very unfortunate. I'm not sure what exactly "some heavy truck traffic" means. There are occasional trucks passing by with lumber, but the noise levels here are incomparable to any city.
