    Great Couple’s Getaway

    My husband and I stayed here for a last minute weekend getaway. Birch Bay is one of our favorite places to visit and this little condo has everything you need. The space has been recently updated, and the location is close to the heart of town and the beach. We found the bed comfortable, kitchen adequately stocked, and the shower was great. Unfortunately, we did not feel we could give it a full five star review for a few reasons. Upon arrival, we found three long black hairs—one on the counter, one in the fridge, and one on the comforter in the bedroom. These were probably left behind by housekeeping, but very obvious and unsettling. There was also a pan in the cupboard totally encrusted with baked on food. And while the couch looks nice, it is small and uncomfortable. Maybe you could have two small children sleep on the pullout sofa, but definitely not teenagers or adults. Finally, the listing title makes it seem like there is a private hot tub included in the space which is misleading. It is actually located in a small room in the clubhouse accessible by all units in the complex.
