2/10 Terrible

The first red flag was when I needed to change my booking due to my dad's surgery, but was told they'd be unable to accommodate "last minute changes". When I inquired, my booking was over 3 weeks away, and per the listing policy I still had more than enough time. Once I'd pointed this out to him, he promptly refunded me. So, he lied.Once I arrived I was hit with a horrible drywall smell, as if the unit was unfinished. I could immediately tell the listing was false advertising. Half of the furniture in the pictures aren't even there anymore, and if it is, it's majorly damaged. IE: The mirror had fallen and the back panel is torn to shreds. The countertops, sides of the cabinets, baseboards, floors, and ridges of the cabinets were lined with dirt and debris. This type of buildup takes months to accumulate. The bathroom had gnats and roaches present, indicating drain issues. There was also no toilet paper holder, the toilet seat was melted, and the hand soap was empty. The toilet had a visible ring of dirt at the base with hairs.I didn't contact VRBO during because I didn't feel comfortable leaving my items alone AND if they removed me from the unit, I'd find nothing else due to the city being overly booked already. After my stay ended I asked for a refund, but they're refusing accountability, offering less than 1/10th of my stay price, and keep telling me I need to contact VRBO for said refund... only for VRBO to confirm they're lying (yet again).
