Year Round Luxury Waterfront Condo, Heart of Boothbay Harbor

Portside is a luxury condo with the charm of a cottage on the ground floor of the 3-unit Back Bay Cottage, built in 2006. We are next to the Chowder House and kayak and bike rentals and just one block from the footbridge. The cottage is in the heart of the harbor and yet you will find tranquility and privacy inside. Over thirty coffee shops and restaurants and numerous shops are within an easy walking distance, including many places open year round.

Portside shares a dock and float with the other two Back Bay Cottage units and has its own deck on the water’s edge. Comforts include state-of-the-art kitchen and appliances, gas fireplace, gas grill, flat screen TVs, a wine cooler, Wi-Fi and free reserved parking. All linens, towels and basic condiments provided.

Highly recommend this condo/ house. Plenty of space , well appointed and best location. 7 trips to BoothBay Harbor and this is my favorite place to stay. Abby is a really good host who has thought of everything !

Best location !

Portside was the best location we have ever stayed in Boothbay...We were three generations ages 25 thru 80...it was so quiet yet right in town...so close to our favorite bar NEAT...the house is well equipped with everything you may need from breakfast to dinner..beds extremely comfortable ...Was so nice to just sit on the deck or dock and just relax...we will definitely be back

I hesitate to review!

This is one of those reviews that I almost hate to leave because the selfish part of me doesn’t want too many people to find out about this amazing place! There is nothing that is not incredible about the condo, view, setup, location. Wow.

Great location, short walk to everything.The apartment is clean and spacious, it had everything we needed and more.The kitchen was fully equipped. Best location

You cannot beat the location of this property. It is right in the town of Boothbay Harbor and also on the water. You can walk to restaurants, shops and tours. The host was very friendly and had so much helpful information for us. The home had everything we needed and more. We will come back and book this place again.

The house is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Everything was clean. The house is extremely well-appointed. Abby was communicative and her instructions were clear. The area is lovely.

Wonderful Property

The location of the property could not have been better. Right in the middle of Boothbay within walking distance to all the amenities. The condo was very clean and cozy with comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. The back patio and floating dock made for a great place to relax and enjoy the harbor atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time we visit Boothbay.

Loved our stay

We loved our stay at Back Bay Cottage - Portside! The location is awesome; its very walkable but it also feels tucked away. We loved sitting on the dock, getting ice cream at the Downeast Ice Cream Factory, and comparing Lobster rolls sold around town. The kids enjoyed Barrett's Park, Ocean Point Beach, and Hendrick's Head Beach and we appreciated that there were beach towels, toys, and camp chairs available for our use. We also enjoyed hanging around Cottage. It is easy to relax there, the kitchen is well supplied, and the views are great. We hope to be back!

Couples Get Away

The condo and location were everything we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. It was like staying at a good friend's house - so comfortable, with great furniture, wonderful decorations and well stocked with anything you might need. The condo had plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed being on the water and loved that town was only a few steps away. We felt like locals! Abby included a lot of information about activities which made it easy to plan day trips and explore the area. She thought of everything. Highly recommend.

Abby’s Perfect Condo

We had a wonderful time at Abby’s Boothbay Harbor waterfront condo. The view of the harbor was spectacular from the front windows and the deck was wonderful to sit out with some wine and cheese. The location was fantastic as we could walk out the door and the town with all its restaurants and shops was right there. Abby was wonderful to deal with and even left a welcome basket! The kitchen was well equipped for any cooking you want to do. The house was very clean and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back. It was a perfect place for a getaway for three 66 year old friends.

Perfect cottage for a holiday get-away!

My husband and I have a seasonal cabin in Boothbay Harbor that we love, but we have to close it up and winterize it in October. We live in Pennsylvania and wanted to see the Gardens Aglow exhibit at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens this December and found Abby's cottage on the Home Away website. What a perfect place! Four of us stayed there for a long weekend in early December, but it would have been excellent for six people also. It is well-appointed and Abby has supplied it with just about everything you could possibly need~linens, towels, blankets and extra pillows for the bedrooms, to sugar, spices and condiments in the refrigerator. The cottage was very clean and toasty warm. It was even snowing when we left on Monday morning! Thank you, Abby, for a wonderful, relaxing holiday get-away! (By the way~the light show was excellent!)

Wonderful weekend

My elderly mother and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Back Bay Cottage - Portside. Mom did needlework, read and enjoyed the view and being right on the water(!). I was able to easily explore all that Boothbay Harbor has to offer, all within walking distance. We loved it so much that we reserved a weekend in May in 2023.

Outstanding property with an amazing location

An outstanding location to use as a base for exploring the Boothbay region. We had a few rainy days which were perfect for just sitting in the den reading a good book and watching the tide come and go. Easily walk to all of the restaurants and shops and as an added treat we saw the holiday fireworks from the foot bridge. The condo was immaculate and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Abby is an amazing host and was a joy to work with. We look forward to visiting again.

Amazing Stay in Boothbay Harbor!

This lovely home was absolutely perfect for the two of us and offered everything you might need! The off-season might not be perfect for all - with some restaurants or shops closed or on limited hours - but for a quiet simple getaway of hiking, quiet coffee mornings, amazing waterfront views, and easy access to the beautiful town this home can't be beat. Abby made us feel welcome from the first communication. Don't miss a day at Ocean View Point (walk it!) - and enjoy this amazing home and town...

Pure Perfection

Magnificent views, Outstanding location, and Superb accommodations. This property is PURE PERFECTION. The photos do not do it justice. From the moment we walked into the door we were in love. The 6 of us were completes comfortably in the home with plenty of room. From long breakfasts on the dock listening to the water crash against the rocks to short walks throughout the harbor town shopping, speaking with locals, and grabbing a delicious meal - this was exactly what we needed to relax and rejuvenate. Abby was an amazing host - responsive, accommodating, and thorough with all necessary information. We CAN NOT wait to return.

Great choice!

The property is a lovely cottage right on the water with spectacular views, especially from the den. Well equipped kitchen and easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, ports, and a pretty park with a beachfront. Also, Abby was great at communicating with us, and her notes helped us a lot with planning. We especially appreciated the Y passes to take advantage of the therapy pool on one rainy day. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!
