Skaneateles Lake- One of the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY.

Beautifully renovated cottage with open floor plan and panoramic views of Skaneateles Lake. Only 4 miles from town and across the street from Anyela's Winery. Cottage sleeps up to 6, includes Master suite with queen bed, second bedroom with twin beds and single and a loft with one twin. Huge deck overlooks lake and large yard. The 150' shared waterfront includes a large dock with table and chairs and area to swim. Kitchen was completely renovated with new appliances and island with barstools. Deck has Weber gas grill and a firepit. Living area has sectional sofa with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake.

Fabulous spot for a week on the lake

We had a great time at the little cottage on the lake. We fell in love with Skaneateles some years ago and we’re thrilled to return again this year to spend the week. Will say, the photos on the listing are actually a bit old I think - it’s even better than it looks. Just 8-10 min to the village, the location was great with a lovely view of the lake. We met the neighbors on either side and they were very kind and shared a few recs with us as well. Thanks for a great week, would definitely consider returning to Carrie’s place again on our next visit to Skaneateles.

Good Location

Beautiful view of Skaneateles Lake from the large deck. My stay was 5 weeks and the lake house is an easy drive to the village and surrounding places of interest.

Old Photos

The pictures must be ten years old, the furniture is nasty with holes in it, inside and outside furniture. There were a total of four drinking glasses in the cabinet, two were plastic that leaked. Infested with ants and stink bugs. The deck railing is leaning bad and is a big safety concern. Needs new pillows, some of the towels are stained and bed linen was not great either. There is a hole in the drywall in the back bedroom where a vent is?? Toilet on the master was stopped up on the first flush and sink drains ran super slow. Great location with a great view of the lake but the poor house needs some work. Two of our businesses are property management companies, we have long term and weekly rental homes and I would be horrified to put someone in a home this bad. VRBO should be responsible for making sure the photos are current and nor a direct misrepresentation of the property. I have plenty of “current” photos if you are interested. If the pictures were the way it really looks I would not have rented it for any price!

We are a family of five and have been enjoying Skaneateles Lake since my husband and I were kids. Our three children love living here all summer long. We rent our cottage in the Spring and Fall.

Why they chose this property

This property has some of the best views of the lake. The location is close to town and a short walk across the street to Anyela's Winery. Everyone loves the deck overlooking the lake and the cottage has been updated for modern living.
