Rich is a great host! He was very friendly, hospitable, attentive, and responsive to any and all our inquiries. His instructions were clear and easy to understand. And his place was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend his place! A true hidden gem!
Property was wonderful. This was a very last minute find because another property we had booked was inaccessible due to flooding in New Mexico. All the appliances, kitchen fixtures and bathroom fixtures were collected to make this house feel like a step back in time and all worked well. House has many interesting objects in every room. Got to meet Rich and Sara at Beer Creek Brewing (highly recommend going for dinner), where they told us the history of the house and the items inside. WE had a great experience here.
Rich is an incredible host! He is kind, welcoming, and genuinely makes you feel right at home, truly a “home away from home” experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all of his hospitality and local recommendations. The brewery he recommended was fantastic, with amazing pizza, excellent beer, and a fun atmosphere. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with an authentic Old West town vibe, this is absolutely the place to stay. Highly recommend!
If you want to escape the world for a day or two, this place is for you! The host is delightful, and the vintage furnishings fit the 1880 structure beautifully. Enjoy!
Everything was as explained by the host. We enjoyed the stay. The Brewery that host recommended was awesome. If you are looking for an old west town vibe and stay? This is the place. Plan on going back to see more of the local amenities.
Excellent location in Cerrillos, close to State Park hikes, horseback riding and a few miles from Madrid; where the quaint shops and people are amazing! Rich and Sara were beyond excellent hosts and we took their recommendations for eateries and sites; namely the Beer Creek Brewing Company (excellent beer and pizza - highly recommend), The Blackbird Saloon (fresh twists to classic favorites and drinks) and in Madrid, Refinery 14 that has a wonderfully unique breakfast selection. Our stay was awesome, quiet and relaxing - we will be going back!

I have stayed at several 19th century renovated properties and this may be the best. Great history, premium upgrades without losing the charm of the original. The owner gave us a tour and was friendly, knowledgeable and available. AC in every room was so nice. Will book with them again
The keybox was assessable, parking was plentiful. The room were spacious, clean and the bedding clean. The history of the VRBO was very interesting and the town itself is like stepping into the old west. I would highly recommend. It also is 20 minute drive to SanteFe and 5 minute drive to Madrid ( an artistic community). The residents are friendly also.
Awesome views in this very unique rental. It's a rustic home with some modern amenities. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The house has a balcony on top for a great view of the high desert. The tiny town it's in is charming. There's old style saloons, restaurants and museums. I highly recommend!
