Where The Wild Things Are- Blue Ribbon Fly Fishing Cabin & No Lift Line Skiing
This rustic 2 bedroom cabin rests serenely on the Stillwater River, a Blue Ribbon trout stream that sits in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains. A fly fisherman’s dream, your stay includes access to the 2 house fly rods, two pairs of men’s waders and wading boots and one pair for a child aged 8-12, as well as a fully equipped fly tying table with a vice, magnifying glass light and all the line, hooks, beads and material any angler might need. After a day outside, fix your favorite cocktail and relax at the bar inside over a game of chess or backgammon while you catch the sunset from one of the house’s three waterfront porches.
With two queen beds and 6 twins located in the loft, the cabin also makes a cozy getaway for a couple of families with children. Note: one of the Queen bedrooms opens to the loft, the other is private on the first floor. River views from nearly every spot in the house bring the outdoors in, whether you’re preparing a meal, playing darts, or staying in bed reading your favorite book. The guitar on the wall is begging to be played by the firepit and a smart tv is provided in the living room where you can connect your devices via Bluetooth. Wifi to be installed soon, and with it the ability to connect to your personal streaming apps on screen.
Only 40 minutes from the quaint ski town of Red Lodge (no lift lines!), 35 minutes to Billings, an hour and 30 minutes from Bozeman and roughly 2 to Yellowstone National Park via Cooke City.

Great experience! The location on the river is perfect and peaceful. We were in town for a family wedding that was just down the road. Communication with owner was fast and efficient.
Easy communication and a beautiful location in a beautiful valley. One of our favorite spots in Montana. We will be back!

We all really enjoyed sitting on the porch that faced the river. It was very relaxing to hear the river, watch wildlife(birds) and rafters go by. We loved having a guitar available for music and sing alongs. We were able to enjoy the firepit and cooking breakfast on the outdoor griddle. It was a great place to gather as a family.
It was everything we hoped it would be. Great house and the location was awesome. It is so close to the river and the house is beautiful inside. Wouldn’t change a thing.

We love to hear this! So glad you enjoyed every aspect of it. Would love to host you again in the future.
Amazing place. Right on beautiful river. Fish from back porch. Private. Views from nearly every room. Friendly and responsive hosts. I'll be back. Awesome.
Overall good experience spent on Thanksgiving with family. Everyone had fun fishing even though it was cold. Well stocked kitchen. The only issue was the water had a very strong sulpher ( mineral odor) so know one wanted to shower. I had a problem getting in with the lock and the hostess was there to get me in within 10 minutes. We made a great memory which was my goal ! wanted to shower . Thwanted to ba

Cool property
Beautiful property, but do not recommend staying there. First the host changed our stay the day before we arrived from a 7 day to 3 day for no reason but she charged me for the full stay and refuses to give a refund. It took almost 2 months to get the deposit back. Horrible host. Book at your own risk. Vbro has been not much help

Hi Tyler, We feel terribly about what happened and you are fair in your review. We are new on VRBO and their customer service on both the renter and home owner end is frustrating. We realized that your trip overlapped with an airbnb booking that had been made first, but the calendars had not synced properly as they're supposed to. We are thankful we realized it before having two guests show up at the same time, but unfortunately that required us to cut your trip short. I'd be upset too. We are equally frustrated with the reimbursement issue. On Airbnb, when trips are altered, refunds are made automatically. We did not feel comfortable reimbusing you outside of VRBO until we had actually spoken with someone at VRBO to be sure that is wasn't also being done through their system. Their response time and responses were horrible. We would ask a question and the answer wouldn't address what we were asking, which ended up taking weeks.
Again, we are terribly sorry, and truly hope that you enjoyed the place the few days you were there. We can assure you, and anyone reading this, that we have learned from the experience and it will not happen again in the future. All the best to you. ~Courtney (owner)
