Great location, so close to the beach, lots of great restaurants nearby. It was so cold for the pool but we got a lot of use out of the jacuzzi.

This was a great house, with a great rooftop view, close to the beach, and easy golf-cart drive to shops and restaurants nearby. We'd definitely stay again!

Great house and location!

We were in town for a regatta and loved staying here with the crew!! Backyard pool and tub was awesome! And a great location! Will definitly be back next time we are in town!

This was our second time to stay at this well appointed property! Perfect for families within walking distance to a quiet stretch of beach! After a day of fun in the sun, we welcomed jumping into the saltwater pool!

Perfect for humans and their furry companions

Funky cozy beach cottage 1 block from beach. Had everything we needed including nice touch amenities like extra poop bags for dogs and plenty of shampoo, hand soap, dish detergent for a comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable as well.

Family beach trip

We had a wonderful week. The house is close to the beach and dining places. Our time at the beach was perfect as the location is not crowded and easily accessible! It was a great time.

Family vacation

Wonderful location. House was clean and located in a beautiful neighborhood close to the beach. We loved that we could bring our dog! John was quick to respond to any of our questions. We hope to visit again soon!

Great Place and Fantastic Location

Had a great time and enjoyable stay. Property is very close to the beach and an easy walk. House is older but in good shape. The pool and hot tub were both well maintained. Beds were a bit soft for our liking, but that's different for everyone. Overall, had a great time!

The host allowed us to check in about 40 minutes early. He answered any communication quickly. The hot tub and pool were fantastic, the pool did run cold, so early morning swimming when we were there was not optimal, but the temps ran about 82 or lower. The hot tub was used many hours. It does have 4 bedrooms, but bedroom 3 and 4 utilize same door inside to get to the room, but bedroom 4 does have door going to the outside which could be used not to travel through bedroom 3 at night. The second bathroom has been remodeled and is best for people about 150lbs or less if using the toilet as if you are larger your sides may touch the wall or shower door. There is a very large bathroom with a large walkin shower that is great and can accomadate all size people. The roof top deck is nice, and has plenty of seating. The area around the pool has plenty of seating, area to move around, and floats to use. The shower outside has warm and cold water which was wonderful as a few days were windy.

Charming beach cottage

The house IS NOT a generic beach house. It has character galore. Additionally, the heated pool and hot tub made the perfect vacation spot for a family of 6. The beach is an easy 3 minute walk, so we spent our time split between the backyard pool and the ocean. We would love to come back!

We loved the pool, hot tub, rooftop deck, and especially the close proximity to the beach and Charleston. The house has character and charm and felt like a home where you can thoroughly relax. As a bonus, the beds are incredibly comfortable! John was great to work with and we couldn't have asked for anything more regarding the property. We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return!

Wonderful Beach Bungalow with LOTS of room!

Stayed here while visiting friends in the area. Very short walk to the beach. If you enjoy walking, I suggest a longer walk thatincludes a stop at the local coffee shop, Cafe Paname! The pool and hot tub are amazing and the rooftop deck provided a spectacular view of the ocean and sunset. I also enjoyed the front sun room, what a great place to curl up and read a book, listen to music, or meditate. If you are looking for minimalist, brand new construction, then this is not your place or maybe you should give it a try so that you don't miss out. This amazing home provides cleanliness, comfort, amenities, unique decor, hospitality, and a beach bungalow vibe, which blend beautifully to create a great experience!

Fun and comfortable

Property is as described; comfortable. Nice pool area and hot tub. Yard is fenced for dogs. House is on a quiet street convenient to beach and nice area to walk or ride bikes. Rooms are a little small and you have to go through one bedroom to get to the other unless you want to enter from outside. Well stocked although some items need to be replaced. Overall a nice place to stay. Owner very responsive- thanks!

Paradise in the Palms

What a great place in a perfect location. The sunsets were unbelievable. The trip was a Monday Day's celebration from my daughter. We could not be happier with our choice. The pool and hot tube was exactly what I needed. John I did want to mention the toilet seem to be running in the larger bathroom. I don't know if that is normal or not. I washed all the dishes and towels and took care of your home as if it were mine. I covered your couch with my blankets upon arrival so us humans and the pups would not damage a thing. Your pool guy was very polite and I enjoyed our conversation. I hope we can make it back one day and thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your sweet beach home.

Fantastic location

This was our first trip to IOP and we loved it! The rental location was perfect and there was much to like about this eclectic little cottage. The proximity to the beach was by far the biggest selling feature for us, along with the private pool (though heating it is cost prohibitive so that stinks during the cooler off-season months.) We appreciated the abundance of linens, toilet paper and dishwashing supplies, and it was easy to connect with John, the manager, when necessary. The kitchen could use a bit more silverware (especially spoons) and maybe an oven mitt; the small bathroom with the clawfoot tub was awkward so we only used it as a powder room and everyone utilized the shower in the larger bathroom; and the light green bedroom has a musty mildew smell - maybe the carpet? Overall, we rolled with the quirky and rustic-nature of this rental and had a wonderful time together as a family.

Great place and location. The pool and hot tub were put to good use. Plenty of rooms to prepare for a wedding and everything you would need in the kitchen to make a big breakfast! Rooftop deck was perfect for grabbing photos of the area.

What an amazing house! Fantastic view from the rooftop deck, the pool was a bonus and the location was perfect. The host answered every question I had prior to our visit and was very gracious and kind. Hopefully it will be available on our next trip to IOP!

Great location

Great location to beach. 5 minute walk at max. Great pool area and rooftop deck. The house is old with great character. My only complaint is one bathroom needs an update of bathtub / shower and shelving to put items. The other bathroom is great and modern.

first vacation in five years

the property was fantastic....close enough to walk to the beach and fun enough to relax throught out our stay....the only down side was that the front door sometimes would not unlock and the if you have light colored hair be ready for it to be lovely shayed of greenish blue....however that happens with pool water and blonde hair.....other than that would diffently stay again
