Spacious 5+ Bedroom House Near Beach! On beach access path! SUMMERTIME FUN!

Find your escape on the Isle of Palms! Come and enjoy your stay at 16-55th Avenue, located outside of the gates of Wild Dunes, on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina! 16-55th Avenue has a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus a sunporch with an additional queen bed to provide extra sleeping space. The beach house's 3,200 square feet comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests plus unlimited children under the age of three.

The close proximity to the beach allows for easy access to the beach. The beach access path is located directly off the back yard and enables you to quickly walk to and from the beach, without crossing any streets! After returning from the beach, you can rinse off in the outside showers underneath the house.

The beach house's plentiful porch spaces offer inviting spaces to relax and visit. The beach house has a front porch, wrap-around porch, screened-in porch, and a second level sunning deck. At nighttime, the sunning deck turns into the perfect place to soak up the evening breeze and listen to tranquil ocean sounds or for stargazing.

The kitchen is fully furnished with cooking supplies. The kitchen has two full-sized refrigerators to offer plenty of space for cold drinks and food. A Keurig machine and a regular coffee pot are provided for coffee lovers.

The kitchen center island comfortably seats four, and the kitchen table seats an additional four. The dining room adjacent to the kitchen seats an additional eight.

The large living room with two-story, cathedral ceilings is the focal point of the house. It is the best place for family gatherings or just to hang out. The living room has two leather sofas.

A wet bar with wine glasses is conveniently located in the living room. The house has large TVs throughout and provides cable and Wi-Fi internet access.

Large house, great location
We stayed for a week with our adult children and our grandkids. Everyone had plenty of space for sleeping & great common spaces as well. The proximity to the beach was perfect- a short walk through the side yard. The house had not been updated in a while, but that did not impact our enjoyment of the home. The house is located in a nice, quiet residential area of IOP. We highly recommend renting bikes and beach equipment from Carolina Bike& Beach.

Spring getaway
We had such a great time at IOP with all of our family. IOP vacations were part of our family for a long time. We introduced a new generation to the place. Thank you for the amazing accommodations.

Perfect vacation destination
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It was really close to the beach, the house had tons of room, super comfortable beds, and a very well-equipped kitchen with two refrigerators. The area where the house is located seemed quiet and not at all crowded so the entire week was peaceful and relaxing. If we go back to IOP for next spring break 2024 I hope this house will be available again.

Hello there! I'm Laura Cook, and my mom, Carolyn Cook, and I have managed our lovely beach house for many years. Please contact us so that we can assist you with your next dream vacation. Let's get started.

Why they chose this property

Our home is a well-loved, comfortable and FUN place to hang out and enjoy the beach. Our family built the home in 1987 and has owned and rented it to guests ever since. As any older house would, it does show some "love," but is comfortable and uniquely located adjacent to a beach access path. Guests love how easy and quick it is to walk back and forth to the beach.
