Had a great time there with our Granddaughter, walking a few trails you’ll see lots of critters.

The very updated cabin was excellent, everything it was advertised as. Quiet and absolutely in the wilderness. The grill was great for all meals. The cabin did not have any silverware or plates, easily taken care of at dollar store. We left them there for other travelers who rent the cabin. My husband and I will definitely rent again

Overall stay was ok. Cabin is nice but would more accurately be described as a studio type, not one bedroom as it is one large , open area with a bathroom. There were no linens for the futon and had indicated two sisters staying, not a couple. Prior review shared there being mouse droppings on the counter in the kitchenette. We had same issue and, yes it's in the woods, but personally I would go in and check before renters arrive. That is the only counter space to prepare food and no cleaning product to sanitize with. They charge a 150 cleaning fee so would not expect to see this. There was half roll of paper towels and one already started roll of toilet paper provided. Swim area and dock could use some maintenance. We chose not to use the area or boats because of it. Last was not receiving any check in instructions before arrival. Had to call the owner and wait for return call, was returned in about 10 minutes, while I was literally sitting at a gate that needed a combo to enter the property. I had not gotten any responses to my emails before that. On positive note they did approve 2 well behaved dogs although didn't end up bringing them. It wasn't a terrible experience but I've had much better for the 400 overall cost with their fees for 2 nights.

House was as shown in pictures. Nice place. There was a dead mouse and some mouse poo on the counter but it's in the woods so what do you expect. Nice surprise with the outdoor patio. Really made the whole trip awesome. Firewood was included, we just had to gather it so I'd call that a win. The lake is awesome. We would have used the boats if it wasn't raining, but they are included and they have life jackets out as well. Someone got stuck before us so we couldnt drive all the way down to the landing. The walk wasnt bad and one side has steps built into the hill. There is no wifi and little cell service, at least with Verizon. Overall would happily stay here again.
