Thank you for taking the time to review. Always love hearing our guests enjoyed their stay. We feel lucky to host such great guests. Would be our pleasure to host you again!
This is a very nice, one-bedroom home in a quiet and secluded garden setting. For cooks, the kitchen is well-equipped, has modern appliances, and plenty of counter space. The bed is comfy, the shower is hot and good, the dining nook seats six, and the cozy patio and back yard are welcoming -- and home to rabbits and chipmonks and robins to watch from the kitchen while cooking. For those who know Liz's Cafe, it's an easy 5-minute walk to Liz's. In the opposite direction, it's about a 5-minute walk to the grocery store. The owners are great. (Don't tell them I said so!)

5 star guest!
The cottage was clean, comfortable and serene. Kitchen was well equipped. Backyard was lovely. Super easy parking in quiet neighborhood a short walk from Commercial Street. Look forward to another visit.
We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the West End cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated and offers anything you may need. It was an easy walk into town. Lisa and John are outstanding hosts. They responded to any communication quickly. We enjoyed several restaurants they recommended. We will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved this cottage! It was very well stocked, perfect location and the backyard was amazing. We grilled out every night and relaxed by the fire pit. The outdoor shower was so cool. Everything you need is just a short walk from the cottage. Definitely one of our top places we have ever stayed. Lisa was a perfect host.

Jon,
So glad you enjoyed your time in the cottage
Come back anytime, great guests
Appreciate the review!
The cottage is gorgeous and I enjoyed my stay. However there is a 4’ x 4’ uncovered skylight above the bed that is not mentioned in the listing. I woke up each day soaked in sweat and boiling hot. When I brought it to the attention of the host I was meant with intense hostility. I was told she tipped the cleaners extra because the bed smelled of urine. No, I didn’t wet the bed - there is a massive skylight over the bed and the sun in July is hot - it’s sweat. Communication is kind until you mention something, then I was attacked for “trashing” the place. I put all my garbage in the bin, dishes in the dishwasher, and spent towels on the floor of the bathroom. It’s a beautiful cottage but if you don’t want to wake up as a desert sun cactus it might be better to look elsewhere.

I’m glad you found the cottage beautiful and enjoyed the setting. I work hard to maintain the space to a high standard and provide a relaxing experience for all guests.
That said, I was genuinely surprised by some of the claims in this review, especially considering the condition the home was left in. My cleaners, who have worked with me for years, reported a home that required significant extra time to clean, including a clogged sink full of dishes, excessive trash, and heavily soiled linens. I paid them an additional fee for the effort.
The skylight above the bed has always been part of the cottage (and mentioned in photos), and while I understand that summer sun can be bright, most guests have appreciated the natural light it brings. Had I been contacted during the stay about any issues, I would have done everything possible to assist.
I always strive to communicate respectfully and professionally with guests. Most people treat the home with great care, and I deeply appreciate those who do.
