Upon entering the river rock-lined driveway, with more than ample parking, one can't help but notice the sprawling grounds and landscaped yard which are flanked by two gorgeous homes. Sunset Shores Resort sits on 500 feet of shoreline and 1.63 acres of land, with open and long range views of Lake Norman. A custom boardwalk along the property, connecting all 3 docks, leaves behind no luxuries and welcomes guests to their home away from home.

The Grand House at Sunset Shores Resort welcomes you with beautiful glass double doors. Step inside to experience floor-to-ceiling windows providing a house full of serene Lake Norman views. The Grand House features detailed millwork throughout, with 5" maple flooring and plenty of natural light. With 3 full floors of entertaining and living space, and expansive outdoor space, this is the perfect home to unwind and connect with friends and family on your lake adventure!

The expansive chef's kitchen, with Dacor range, second wall oven, warming drawer, wine cooler and blue stone slab countertops, is fully equipped to handle any occasion. The main island has seating for four for friends or family to spend time together while cooking a gourmet meal. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your entertaining needs with plenty of storage in the cabinets to feed your whole crew. The kitchen has a pass through window to the elegant indoor/outdoor dining room.

The entire wall of the dining room slides open to give this room purpose 365 days a year! With endless views of Lake Norman and spring breezes, you will never want to leave! A bright sitting area with floor to ceiling windows provides more seating for all to enjoy. This area is perfect for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large dining table for your entire party to be together in one big open space. The adjacent living room, opposite the kitchen, is great for entertaining - nothing short of luxurious with a large, river rock fire place and large TV.

Head down the hall to your private master suite. A comfortable king bed, private access to the balcony and porch, a large bathroom with his and her sinks, a large soaking tub and a walk-in closet will bring touches of luxury to your resort retreat! There is also a queen bedroom on the main level behind the kitchen area with a hall bath to share.

The lower level at the Grand House packs all the action! You will be more than thrilled to walk down to multiple game rooms, a full bar, two adjoining bedrooms with attached full baths, and multiple floor to ceiling doors complete with long lake views! You will find a pool table for all to enjoy, as well as an arcade game, including a installed shuffleboard table. There is a full bar area with new countertops, seating for 7, an ice maker, and beer and beverage cooler!!! The entertainer's DREAM! The most challenging part will be getting the best seat in the house. Don't forget the large river rock fireplace for cool winter nights.

Head upstairs you will find four additional bedrooms - including a kids bonus room (sleeps 6), three full bathrooms - two of which were recently added, and a laundry room. Luxurious sleeping areas branch down the hallway featuring large plush bedding and pillows -perfect- for restful sleep. Stylish furnishings give you plenty of room to unpack, unwind and feel right at home.

Outside, you'll be greeted with all your Lake Norman dreams! Rolling grounds of blue stone patios with multiple seating areas, including plush Pottery Barn loungers - be sure to catch the sunset from here - lush grass with plenty of space for kids to run or enjoy corn hole tournaments, a lakefront beach with fire pit-perfect after a day on the lake. Sunset Shores has 500 feet of shore line with boardwalks connecting all 3 docks on the Resort Property! Double deck docks - swimming platforms - swim ladders - all your needs right at your fingertips. There are no forgotten luxuries at Sunset Shores Resort! Conveniently located on the dock are all of the fun lake toys which include: a kayak, a paddle board, and an assortment of life jackets.

The Homestead at Sunsets Shores Resort is the smaller of the two homes, but do not let that fool you! Sleeps 16 - 5 bedrooms - 4.5 bathrooms! Renovated - brightly decorated in blue and white! Leathered granite countertops in the kitchen. Large porch with grand dining table and seating area. Hot tub and fire pit installed for guests to enjoy year round with amazing lake views.

Main level master suite is handicap accessible - walk-in shower & closet. Master has private access to the sun porch. Comfortable king size bed - your dream bedroom away from home!

Head upstairs to find 3 cozy bedrooms with multiple sleeping arrangements - all bedrooms feature plush bedding and 3 bathrooms. **Please refer to pictures for sleeping arrangements**

The garage at Sunset Shores - The Homestead has been transformed into a kids paradise! The garage now has air hockey, ping pong and an arcade game, an added bonus to your next retreat! An additional fridge has also been added to the garage renovation!

- A maximum of 2 pets are allowed at this home. This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- There is a sleeper sofa in the bunk room
- ​​​​​​​Please note if you choose to bring your own boat, there is no lift and the house is located on a busy channel.
- No events, group gatherings, or parties are allowed at any AvantStay property under any circumstances.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we cannot always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.
