Homeaway From Home is an exquisite Outer Banks vacation home with a stunning beach decor. Here you'll find two master suites, a 14 x 30-foot private pool, 8 person hot tub and huge sun and covered decks!

The interiors are absolutely priceless and modern with your comfort being the most important. The kitchen, dining room and living areas are under a cathedral ceiling with direct deck access over-looking the large private pool and hot tub. On the ground floor is a second living area with an over-stuffed wraparound sofa along with a stereo, DVD and direct access to the pool and hot tub.

Your family will find Homeaway From Home to be simply striking, modern and spacious.

Property Bedding: 3 Queens, 2 Bunk-Sets, 1 Duo-Bunk with Trundle.

Upper Level:
Large kitchen with granite counter top, breakfast bar with seating for 4, stainless steel appliances and hardwood floor.
The stunning dining room has seating for 10 with views of the private pool and hot tub.

Upper Mid-Level:
On this level you'll find a half bathroom

Mid-Level:
This level provides the main entrance to the home along with 3 bedrooms and the laundry area.
The first bedroom provides a duo-bunk with trundle, ceiling fan, flat screen TV and connects to a Jack 'n Jill bathroom with a tub and shower.
Connecting to the Jack 'n Jill bathroom is a bedroom with a queen bed, ceiling fan and direct deck access overlooking the private pool and hot tub.
A queen master suite greets you featuring direct deck access overlooking the private pool and hot tub, TV, ceiling fan and a full bathroom with tub and shower.

Ground Level:
Here you'll enjoy the 2nd living area completed with direct access to the huge private pool and hot tub area, a flat screen TV, stereo with CD player and VCR and a wrap-around sofa.

Unclean upon arrival

The house was not cleaned prior to our stay. There were still coffee grounds in the coffee maker, hair in the bed, toothpaste in the sink, and splashes on the mirror, floors had not been swept, or vacuumed. This was my first and last experience with VRBO and Southern Shores.

OBX getaway

The top floor was very safe for the toddler once we put up a baby gate across the stairs. The pool and the hot tub was clean and beautiful. The beds were soft. The location was just a couple of miles away from the Walmart and Harris Teeter.

Large House with a great pool

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we loved the house and location. Only recommendation would be to add a keyless entry lock.

An enjoyable week

This was a family group, 5 teenagers and 4 adults. We had plenty of space to spread out, and to eat our meals. The kitchen was adequately stocked with everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were clean and functioning, perfect for the day we had a heat advisory and didn't want to schlep everything to the beach. Please know this property is in walking distance to the beach, but not at all practical with all the beach gear. We take a large canopy, cooler, chairs, boogie boards and towels, etc and it is just too far to walk with all of that. You must also cross a busy two-lane road to get to the beach (there is a crosswalk). We chose to run our own shuttle service over in a couple of trips to the beach with all the gear, with the driver coming over on a bike after delivering everyone (there is no parking). Worked for us. The kitchen had not been swept upon our arrival (according to the rental agreement, this is the responsibility of the previous renter), and there was tons of dog hair (supposed to be a pet-free unit). The outdoor shower was not operational during our stay, but it wasn't really a problem for us. There were also a few light bulbs that needed replaced. Otherwise, the unit was as listed. We enjoyed the use of the gas grill several nights. All the deck space was enjoyable. You will need to get in the car to drive for anything you might need or want. There really isn't anything in walking distance and traffic can be a bear, FYI.
