The house was pretty dirty when we first arrived, the wifi name and password was wrong, one of the two Keurigs was broken. Outside at the "pool", there was only one railing, that happened to be broken. To make matters worse, there are cockroaches everywhere, and huge ones at that. Would never stay here again. The only thing I enjoyed about the house itself were the wrap around porches and the look out. If I could give this owner a negative rating, I would. It felt more like staying at a relatives house then a beach house, as there are family pictures hanging up everywhere which I found a little strange. It honestly looked like we traveled back in time to the 1970s bc everything seemed at least 50 years old.

Didn't have access to 4th bedroom

Some friends and I visited in June 2022 and immediately found that we could not access the 4th bedroom. It was (assumedly) in the garage which was tightly locked up and curtains pulled. We called the property owner (and had emailed twice before the trip with no response) who did not answer nor return the call. Three of our members had to sleep on couches because we could not access the room. We also saw a few cockroaches. And the outlets/lights on the crows nest do not work. It is a nice property overall and very close to the beach, but the locked bedroom and lack of communication was very annoying.

Miserable

I arrived at the property with no issues. I was unable to unpack however because there were a multitude of roaches in every room I entered. We left and got into a hotel. The local Repersentative accused me of the uncleanliness. Just rude. Evolve never returned my calls or emails to rectify the situation after my first complaint. Said I may not get a refund. I paid $4000.00 for a vacation home that I could not even stay at.

Nice, big house but could use a good cleaning

I rented this house for our family vacation to the OBX. The house is very roomy and accommodated our family well. I’ll start with the positive things we appreciated. After attempting to contact the owner a couple times about what linens we needed to bring, he finally called me and offered to provide sheets and towels. Every bedroom has its own full bathroom. The kitchens were stocked with everything needed for cooking meals (pots, pans, dishes and silverware.) The location/neighborhood was nice and close enough to beach access. There is a pool, but I would say it’s more like a bigger version of a hot tub. The listing says toiletries and laundry detergent is provided but neither were at the house. We had to buy all toilet paper, detergent, paper towels etc. Overall, the house needs a really good cleaning. It wasn’t filthy, but it wasn’t clean either. We actually saw several cockroaches during our stay which was very unsettling. Overall our experience was good, but this house could use some work and a good deep cleaning.

Not what we were Expecting

Floors needed cleaning. While walking barefoot in the house your feet would get dirty and stick to the floor. Showers were not clean. No email was received indicating we should bring our own towels and linens. (Online instructions indicated towels were provided.). Overall house needs a lot of updates.
