Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, communication
It was perfect for what we needed. Very nice area, with a great home. Quiet at night, and super cozy!
The outside does not look very nice, but the inside does. The location was incredible. The bunkbeds however, did not work for us. They were way too noisy. You might want to bring coffee. We had to buy some because there was only a tiny amount there. There is no stove or oven FYI, that did not bother us at all other than that the kitchen is well stocked.
Pretty good place to stay for a short stay. The location is good. Good communication with host. Pros: Fast internet, comfortable mattress, Amazon Fire, plenty of towels, good size family room with large couch, keurig coffee. Some things to watch out for: Although the mattress was comfortable, it was on a very noisy metal bed frame which could make it difficult for sensitive sleepers. The kitchen is really only meant to make small, simple meals. The fridge was the size of one you would find in a hotel room. No stove/oven, but there is an electric griddle and a portable single element stove. Not a lot of kitchen utensils and pots/pans, but plenty of dishes and silverware.
Renter BewareBooked this at last minute due to death in family. My plane arrived late, picked up my car rental in the city. Then went and bought a few groceries, drove to house and parked where they said to park. Noticed all the unoccupied buildings around on the street( it is now dusk). One light on the garage that was about 100ft from house that had no lights on the outside at all. Tried to reach out to host and no one replied. I could not see to get in. Then, a very large disheveled man walked out the front door using a blind-cane. He just stood there on the sidewalk. Then he walked down the street and stood under a light at the end of the block. I then drove up to the side of the house where the stairway was. The guy was back in his house and could see his shadow face staring out the window at me many times. (Would you go in)? Called Vrbo multiple times and getting associates from India that could offer minimal help. I had the code so there was nothing they could do. After not hearing from host for over an hour I ended up staying with an old friend (awkward) but was so tired and desperate in this small community. Am a 63 yr old woman btw. Host reached out the next day and a very nice man met me there an 10am. We both walked in and I said to him right away ‘smells like cigarettes’ he said ‘I have told the tenant not to smoke in the house’. Door to his apartment below was connected to the inside stairs and was deadbolted. Homeowner assured me the guy was harml
