My family and I live full time in Lexington, MA. We decided to purchase our first vacation home in Chatham, MA in 2008. While the main reason was the proximity to our home near Boston, we also realized how much Chatham reminded us of our time on Nantucket Island. Chatham has all the charm and beauty as Nantucket Island, which is where we married. This was our first purchase and because of the experience, quality of life, great memories and including the fantastic year-round vibe, we decided to purchase an additional property and begin our long-term investment in the town and surrounding area. This property with its nautical theme and original refurbished floors, will provide a unique experience for guests that want to have some privacy from the downtown crowds but also be within a mile of Chatham Harbor, Chatham Bars Inn and Downtown Chatham Center.

Beautiful year-round vacation home with finished hardwood floors throughout and a beautiful tile bathtub & shower off the master first floor bedroom. The kitchen has nice finished wood countertops with all the appliances. Includes year-round Heat and A/C throughout on those humid days/evenings! Two bedrooms up and two bedrooms down!
Giant deck in fully fenced in backyard takes full advantage of both sun and yard area. Spring, summer & fall seasonal ping pong table, above ground firepit, volleyball net, and fenced in hot/cold outdoor shower.
Beach chairs (6+) and bikes (2+)
Include cooler/wheels and beach trolley (other kids beach items) Huge stainless-steel grill (direct gas hookup) on backyard brick porch.
Spring/Summer garage loft open (no HVAC) for guest overflow or just kids that want some extra privacy!

Nice House and a great back yard

The house is centrally located and the are is very cute. There is a little cafe across the street that it is a cute place with great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. The house was nice and perfect for our family of 5 and our English Golden Retriever. Some of the items in the home for cooking were old, very used, pans scratched and unable to use. But we made the best of it and really enjoyed our time spent there. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

Charming house. Great location

The house is clean, fully stocked with everything you need, has a great back deck and a large fenced-in yard. Location was ideal for us: just close enough to town and beaches, but not packed into a crowded block. The house itself is clean and comfortable. Some rooms could use a little updating, but overall, we were very happy during our stay over New Year's. Owners were very responsive to our questions.

A slice of backyard heaven in Chatham...

Proximity is everything, and our stay for two blissful weeks in August was nearly perfect. The only thing missing was water views, a quick drive, walk, or bike ride away. Our family has rented on the Cape for decades, always in different locales, and this was our first experience staying in Chatham. What a delight: from the nearby luxurious Chatham Bars Inn to beaches at the ocean and ponds, shopping, ice cream shops, and amenities, we thoroughly enjoyed our explorations, then returned to a roomy house with a beautiful backyard, patio, deck, piped-in gas grill, and fire pit.

We stayed here with our son and black lab. I don't know which of them enjoyed the fenced yard more! Volleyball, ping pong and a firepit for making s'mores! The house was incredibly clean and fully stocked, including a super outdoor grill. Each morning, we walked down to the water and got breakfast across the street! Terrific location and the owners were lovely, a wonderful place for vacation, Thanks again!

Lovely home in Chatham

This is a well maintained home. It is clean with up to date kitchen and bathrooms. It has a great yard with a volleyball net and a ping pong table which our kids enjoyed. We brought our yellow lab who thoroughly enjoyed playing in the yard. It is fully fenced in so we didn't need to worry about our dog escaping. The house had some bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards and nets for catching crabs and minnows. The owners are very responsive. Overall we were happy with our one week stay.

Cape Cod Vacation

This house was amazing in everyway! Perfect place to stay for a nice get together with friends. The house had everything we needed, fully stocked kitchen with much more then we had expected, great TV with cable, a lot of games to play, amazing yard with ping pong table, volleyball net and huge grill that we used basically every night to make dinners and then eat on the beautiful deck. The house was perfect distance from Main St, Beaches and other activities, making it easy to walk or drive to wherever you wanted to go. Plenty of parking, along with the garage and great loft attached to it. David and Evelyn were great the whole time leading up to our trip, and were in contact during the trip which was great. Would love to return in the future :) Thank you for letting us stay at your home!

Best Vacation Ever!

Our family, which now includes 3 young adult children and 2 dogs, have been vacationing on the Cape for 23 years. This was by far one of our most favorite houses to rent. The space was perfect for us and had all the amenities we could ever want. The master bedroom wing was private and our dogs felt comfortable staying in there when we would leave them for a few hours to go to the beach. The loft over the garage was used a couple of nights by my 18 year old daughter and a few of her friends who were also vacationing on the Cape. When we found the toaster not to be working properly , we let the owners know and they had one shipped right away to us from Amazon! Thanks Evelyn and Dave! We hope to return next year.

Lovely, Large Home Near Everything

My group was in town for a wedding in Chatham, and we were delighted to stay in this large home that was conveniently located a short walk to town and very central to the wedding parties. The rehearsal dinner and wedding were each only a quick rideshare away, and on Saturday while we had downtime we popped to Main Street for brunch and to browse the local shops. Unfortunately we had a rainy weekend, but I believe the beach was close by as well. The house itself was great, I wish we were staying longer! Huge fenced-in yard with ping-pong, a fire-pit, and grill were all out back. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and all the necessities. As we were a group of 5, it was nice that everyone had their own room (my partner and I took the master-bed) and space to spread out. I know there was another bathroom and bedroom above the garage but we didn't even feel the need to go into it, there was plenty of space and bathrooms in the main house. Overall a lovely stay! My only constructive feedback is that I think the linens situation could be improved - while the listing is clear about bringing or renting sheets and towels (and it was easy to do so) it would have been nice if that was just included in the overall booking so its one less thing to think about. Thank you for a great weekend! If/when I'm back on the Cape, I would definitely rent this house again!

This property has a very nice, fenced yard for the dogs making their stay terrific. The fence was secure even for our little dog (11 lbs). In/out through sliding glass door made access to yard simple. Kitchen was stocked with pots & pans, good for our Thanksgiving meal. Gas grill also nice to have on patio. Place was clean and sleeping spaces spread out. Downsides: had to bring own towels/linens & we don't own king sized sheets; blower on furnace (AC?) ran constantly and sounded like heavy windstorm making it harder to sleep deeply; regular traffic noise for front bedrooms.

Chatham Escape

Wife and I rented the hose from 06Sep thru 10 Sep 2021 on a list minute vacation whim. I booked this property rather quickly without my typical due diligence. Fortunately, I lucked out as this property was a true pleasure. The house is very well maintained and provides plenty of room for relaxation. What I really liked was how well items in the house were detailed. Having rented several homes in the past the simple process of knowing which switch to turn on the patio light can be a challenge. Dave & Evelyn have done an excellent job of labeling switches, instruction on remotes, how to use a provided supplemental speaker for my music... again was so nice to have the guidance. I had some concern on how close the house was to RT 28, but this was not an issue. The home itself with a beautiful outside sitting area (and fire pit) should give most folks plenty of room for stretching out. Coordination prior to arrival was excellent. We received an email with documentation on Do’ & Don’ts, supplier for linen and instructions for house access. Dave was very quick to respond to my question (details on beds so I could order linen). Very happy with eh home and certainly would stay again an recommend to others.

Girls Weekend

Labor Day Birthday Weekend

We had a fantastic stay at David and Evelyn’s property. It was so easy to find and had ample parking for 2 cars. The beds were comfortable and the apartment felt very clean once we arrived. Would definitelt recommend this Vrbo location.

Why they chose this property

Being in North Chatham and one mile north of the Chatham Bars Inn this location gives us great access to the Atlantic Ocean side beaches, Pleasant Bay and Downtown without running into any major traffic. Having a great coffee, pastry/muffin, sandwich, and ice cream (Chatham Perks) and cold beverages (Chatham Light Liquors) within a minute walking distant is a huge plus. We also have plenty of parking in the large driveway and have an irrigation system to insure green grass all thru the peak season! The reality is this property is in a fantastic location, should check off every item on your vacation list and is well maintained by professionals and family TLC.

What makes this property unique

The quality of the house and condition, including the fact there is a huge fenced in backyard with a large deck and room for fun outdoor activities, reading a book or just simple sun bathing is great. The firepit (portable) and all-weather table top tennis is fantastic and lots of fun! The outdoor hard lined gas grill has plenty of space to entertain with lots of grilling options for your guests. Additional benefits include year-round heat, A/C, flat screen /Comcast cable TV and HIGH-SPEED CABLE INTERNET! And don’t forget the unfinished loft above the garage has plenty of character and is a great spot for young teenagers and a fun “away” location to play games, sleep and just get some time away from the adults!
