Discovered a Jewel
Our family had a wonderful stay at this perfectly renovated mid century jewel. Location was super convenient to restaurants and activity in Coconut Grove and Coral Gables and a stone’s throw away from University of Miami (perfect since we were visiting our son who goes to school there). Santiago was extremely responsive to our questions. All in all, I would stay again.

Miami mid-century tree house
This is a fabulous property- unique and charming and thoughtfully stocked. Located in a quiet and lovely neighborhood, yet convenient to coral gables, coconut grove, and Miami. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed, but we loved the outside spaces most of all.

As enthusiasts of mid-century architecture and the lush landscapes of Coconut Grove, we're thrilled to share our passion with you through our carefully curated retreat. Hailing from the heart of this vibrant community, we've always been captivated by the unique blend of historical design and tropical nature that defines our neighborhood. Our love for this area goes beyond its scenic beauty; it's about the stories embedded in the architectural lines and the tranquil moments under the canopy of trees. We delight in the art of hosting because it allows us to share these experiences – the serene embrace of nature alongside the elegance of mid-century design – with you. Whether you're exploring the architectural marvels of our community or finding peace in the quiet nooks of our garden, we want your stay to be more than a visit; we aim for it to be an immersion into the lifestyle and beauty that Coconut Grove offers. It's not just about providing a place to stay; it's about opening a door to experiences that inspire and rejuvenate. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the joys of our home and its surroundings.

Why they chose this property

Coconut Grove captivated us from the moment we set foot in this enchanting neighborhood, and choosing to make it the backdrop for our retreat was an easy decision. Its unrivaled centrality offers the perfect blend of accessibility and seclusion, making it an ideal spot for both exploration and tranquility. What truly sets Coconut Grove apart, however, is its lush landscape. The canopy of trees that line its streets and the verdant parks scattered throughout provide a serene oasis that feels miles away from the urban hustle.

We are continually charmed by the neighborhood's vibrant yet laid-back atmosphere, where the beauty of nature meets the convenience of city living. The parks here are not just green spaces but community hubs where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy the outdoors, engage in activities, or simply relax under the shade of ancient trees. The tree-lined vistas and green expanses offer a breath of fresh air and a sense of peace that is hard to find in other urban areas.

Our love for Coconut Grove is rooted in these natural features and the unique lifestyle they foster — one that encourages slowing down, appreciating the beauty around us, and embracing the joys of community and nature intertwined. It's this distinct combination of centrality, natural beauty, and community spirit that makes Coconut Grove not just a place to live, but a place to thrive. We chose this neighborhood for its ability to blend the vibrancy of city life with the tranquility of nature, offering our guests a truly unique experience that captures the essence of Miami's most beloved enclave.

What makes this property unique

Our property is not just a place to stay; it's a piece of architectural history, nestled in the heart of Coconut Grove. Originally built in 1948, it was designed by the renowned Alfred Browning Parker, a master of mid-century modern architecture, known for his innovative designs that harmonize with Florida's natural landscapes. This connection to a visionary architect gives our home a distinct character, blending timeless design with the lush surroundings of Coconut Grove.

What truly sets our property apart, however, is its unique location on an old coral rock quarry. This geological heritage has bestowed our grounds with a rare change in elevation that is exceedingly unusual in Miami's predominantly flat landscape. This natural undulation not only contributes to the aesthetic beauty of the property but also creates a variety of intimate outdoor spaces for our guests to explore and enjoy. The elevated points offer serene vistas, allowing one to appreciate the canopy of Coconut Grove from a unique perspective, while the lower areas are enveloped in the cool, shadowy embrace of ancient coral rock and tropical foliage.

This blend of architectural significance and unique natural features makes our property a true oasis in the city. It's a place where history, design, and nature converge to offer a unique stay experience that cannot be found elsewhere. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, a lover of nature, or simply seeking a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle, our property offers a distinctive slice of Miami's heritage, making your stay not just a getaway but a journey into the heart of Coconut Grove's storied past and vibrant present.
