This house was very modern and exceptionally clean! Unlike some VRBO properties we’ve stayed in, this host wasn’t cheap on amenities. There was plenty of extras of everything. Coffee, sugar, paper towels, seasonings, cooking oil and the list goes on! It’s about 8 miles from Bozeman and fit our needs perfectly. We would definitely stay there again!
Loved our stay at this warm and welcoming home! It had everything we needed and was centrally located to hiking, shopping, restaurants, and breweries! Cant wait to return! The host was also quick to answer any questions, which was greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Very nice house was great base for family of 4 in the Bozeman area. Easy 10 min drive to Bozeman exits. Kitchen could use more silverware/flatware/etc as we kept running out. A nearby train track runs at night so expect to hear those during the night- not a deal breaker but just know it’s a reality in this location. Two great bakeries within walking distance, one 100% gluten free and the other across the street in log cabin building, both top notch!

Hi Kris, Glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for tip off on silverwear stock, we utilize the kitchen thoroughly during our multi-day improvement/maintenance projects and stays so will usually pick up on those details but appreciate the heads up. Glad you found the gluten free bakery and the log cabin donut and espresso shop. The trains are part of the culture and lifeblood of the state. We have sound machines and earplugs available at the property for sensitive travelers, but as you found, generally not an issue. Safe travels wherever they may take you!
We had a great time staying here, house had everything we needed and it was close to the airport, short drive into Bozeman. Would definitely stay here again.
It was a quiet place. The rental was clean and modern but felt like a cabin. Everything worked great and was conveniently close to all the places we went to each day. We just wish we had a few extra days so we could've enjoyed it more. Hopefully, next time.
We enjoyed our stay. The place was.super clean. The cost is real reasonable without hidden costs involved. The host was very welcoming and was quick to respond to our questions. Would stay here again and highly recommend this place for your vacation needs.
Perfect rental in Belgrade and so close to Bozeman. From check in to checkout everything was easy and exactly as described. It was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The host and caretaker were very responsive and friendly. Great trip and I look forward to staying again!
We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and well appointed home. It was nice to have a full kitchen, washer/dryer and a really fun outdoor patio area. All the instructions and information was very clear and the owners were very responsive and kind. All amenities are close by. I would stay here again!
The house was just the right size for the two of us. It could easily handle 2 more people. The house was easy to get to from the airport. Location is convenient to locations all around. Downtown Bozeman was only 15 minutes away.
SO much better than a hotel. Our group of four had a great stay-comfortable beds, great sitting area and kitchen, and the back patio was so pretty at night, we didn’t feel like leaving to go out, we ordered pizza!
Having a quiet place to call home for the week was absolutely amazing - this host has thought of everything you'd need to make life easy while on the road. Thank you for such a great stay; the coffee was so good that I'll be ordering it remotely!
From beginning communication all through our stay, we could not be more pleased with this property. So many amenities tucked into a small place. The beds were super comfortable and the house had everything we needed for our stay. The back patio provided a great place for an evening of cards and mornings for remote work and coffee.Location was close to everything we needed while visiting.

Hi Amy, glad you enjoyed your stay! Just want to clarify for readers that this is a compact 1000 sq ft, but full sized house, with full bathrooms and king/queen sized beds, not one of those Tiny Homes you see on Tiny House Nation :o) .... although we love those! Safe and happy travels to you wherever they may take you!
We had a great stay at this gem. Only complaints were the air conditioning not working great in the upstairs and the blackout curtains not really helping very much. Both summertime issues obviously. Everything else was perfect. The house had everything we needed. The location was amazing. The park right next door was great for kids. Quiet stay, would absolutely stay again.
We were there 3 days and really left everyday at 9 am came back after 8 pm, for us just needed a place to sleep. Very clean and coffee was great.Sleep was hard, extremely hot upstairs even with air conditioning. Reading the rules of the house didn’t expect to see if a service call was made for air conditioning (because of freezing the line) we would have to pay.People are different we have a hard time hearing a train with the window opened and fans didn’t help. Getting up early and coming home after being out all day we didn’t get much sleep. House is nice but something should be fixed for upstairs can’t imagine what it’s like in the heat of summer. We were there the beginning of May.

Hi Theresa, so sorry to learn of your issue through this review, as we are always available to immediately address guest concerns in person had you reached out to us during your stay. I can only assume this may have been user error, as we tested the AC after receiving your review and it was working well.
My wife is extremely temperature sensitive and had no issues when we stayed there the week before your visit, nor did subsequent guests. As a precaution for future guests, we did change to a non-programmable thermostat, and had the system checked by an HVAC professional. Best wishes to you in all your travels, may they be cool and calm : )
We were very happy with our week long stay at Blackmore Cottage in Belgrade. The cottage was very nicely maintained, the beds were comfortable and it was conveniently located for our visit with family in Belgrade. The home is in great condition and had everything we needed. We very much appreciated the coffee since our flight got in very late and we weren’t able to get to the market when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again on future visits to see our family. Thank you.

Thanks for the nice review Sue! Ghost Town coffee is the best in the land, glad you enjoyed it!
House was a perfect home away from home. You just have to be prepared for the train through the night.

Hi Delaney. Apologies on any sleep issues. You'll hear the train in most historic Montana towns. At 4 blocks away, we find it nostalgic if we notice the 2 passes at all in the night. Guest comfort is a priority, there are sound machines and earplugs available at the home for guest use, though we've only had 2 guests out of 100's mention it as an issue.
Visited for a roller derby skate clinic in Bozeman, stayed here in Belgrade, however was still close enough for a quick travel to our event center. The property was gorgeous, and well maintained. Lots of accommodations that helped with our stay, great views from the large windows and a quiet relaxing location. Thanks for hosting us! :)

Glad you enjoyed your stay! My wife and I have always wanted to see a Roller Derby match. ;o)
We had a busy weekend with our son being in a wedding and the house was a relaxing atmosphere after a bunch of chaos. Very clean and very beautiful.

About the host
Hosted by Mike Delao
Hello! I'm Jacob Grossi. I was born and raised in Montana, my wife Zelda is from Vermont, where we have lived for the last 20 years before embarking on our current adventure as a travel nurse on mobile book editor. Now that the kids are grown, we wanted a Montana house for visiting friends and relatives and to share with new friends and old.
To make all things possible, we were blessed to find our property manager Mike. As you will see, he is a local gem and goes above and beyond to make your experience delightful.
Why they chose this property
Let's face it. As the "Last Best Place" Montana has grown, and there are plenty of cookie cutter tract homes or "Montana Ranches" you can rent. While this home is obviously modern and unique(well, actually one of a set of 4 Nordic Homes, modeled after the "railroad shotgun houses" of years gone by), the home is in an actual older neighborhood that is socially and economically diverse…you might even meet an actual Montanan. You can walk 10 min to the historic downtown Belgrade with a coffee shop (don't miss Cafe Havana or New Day Bakery), grocery stores (Town and Country is the best, employee owned) and restaurants including Bar 3 Bar-B-Q which was voted 2025's Best Small Brewery and then dip back into the neighborhood...you could literally fly in, take an 5 minute Uber ride from the airport to the house, and walk to everything you need.
Oh and the fishing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and scenery including Yellowstone park aren't half bad either.... :o) Bozeman is 15 minutes without even getting on the interstate. Big Sky is less than an hour, Bridger Bowl 30 min, and either entrance to Yellowstone is 1.5 hours(makes a great loop!).
What makes this property unique
....all of the above. And did we mention one mighty fine guitar?
