Sprawling backyard highlights incredible outdoor space for families in search of peace and tranquility. Looking for multiple bedrooms and great space for kids? Children will love our bunkroom and reading nooks while grown ups will find the privacy they seek with three additional bedrooms and adjacent bathrooms.
Master bedroom includes queen bed, Smart TV, and an en-suite bathroom.
Second downstairs bedroom also boasts a queen bed and access to downstairs bathroom.
Our third bedroom has two queen beds and shares bathroom access with the bunk room, also located upstairs. The bunk room will be the highlight of your visit for the kids as they enjoy quiet time in our reading nooks!

Whether you are taking the short (3 miles) drive to the beaches or to Main Street to enjoy the restaurants and shops of Downtown BSL, you will experience what makes Bay Life so special.
Staying out of the car? We are a short bike-ride away from fishing holes or a playground for the kids. Board games, outdoor sports and toys, and books make this property the perfect escape for all ages.

Our central family room provides plenty of seating and a big-screen Smart TV with access to all major streaming platforms. This simple and newly remodeled kitchen provides modern appliances and a table that seats up to 8 people for meals.
Three full bathrooms with shower and tub will ensure everyone has the space to get ready each day.

Getaway weekend

The house is so welcoming and calming inside. Plenty of space for everyone with plenty of comfortable seating to relax after the nearby farmer's market and beaches. The grandkids were so excited and kept saying "this is the best house ever" and "this is the best Bcation ever!" Kid friendly spaces with toys and bicycles to borrow made it all just right. Would recommend without hesitation!

Daughters Wedding

We picked this location because it was close to wedding venue. It was spacious, clean and easy to access. Check-in process was great. Communication with owner was great. We also close this location for elevator needs. That was a life saver for us due to my mother in law!!! I highly recommend this VRBO for any one looking for a nice stay in Bay St. Louis area.

Hosts were great--very communicative. We had a last minute cancelation on our pet care and had to bring my mom's dog. Adding him was smooth and seamless. Hosts also alerted us that we could have an early check-in--always great after a long day of traveling.

Our family lives full time in New Orleans, LA while our three young children are in school. We are both in the education system in New Orleans and found such peace and tranquility in Bay St. Louis during holidays and breaks. Our property is extremely child and family friendly because our own children have been a big part of creating the atmosphere at Oak House Retreat.
We have ventured into hosting because of the many wonderful experiences we have had in Bay St. Louis and we want to provide families access to the beauty and peace of this part of the Gulf Coast. We feel so fortunate to be able to share our slice of heaven with travelers from all over the country.

Why they chose this property

Driving up to our home, you will first notice the beautiful open backyard that leads directly to the signature Oak Tree at the back of the property. We chose this area of BSL because it is tucked away and provides open space for reflection and relaxation. This neighborhood also allows for incredible freedom and safety for children and they can explore the area on foot and on bikes safely and without worry.
If you seek the quaint and beautiful Main Street area, we are less than a10 minute drive away from what makes BSL so attractive to visit! BSL Beach sits less than three miles from our home and the entire MS Gulf Coast is easily accessible from our property.

What makes this property unique

We have one of the most family friendly homes in the area because our own children have been such an important part of the design. :) With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cozy living space and modern kitchen, all family members have plenty of room to enjoy indoor activities together. In our bunk room we have turned our closets into secluded and quiet "book nooks" with plushy, soft chairs and plenty of reading material for all ages.

If it is outdoor activities you seek, check out our under house seating area, bikes of all sizes, and a bin of outdoor sports equipment and play things. We can promise that your children will fall in love with the fresh air and abundance of space immediately!
