Why Bob Kemp chose Al Tahoe
This property was purchased by my Parents in 1968 as a Vacation/Retirement home. They loved this place, as it was their little getaway from the pressures and stresses of everyday life, living and working in the Greater Bay Area. San Jose in particular. When my Parents passed away a few years back, the Cabin became ours. I vowed to keep this cabin in the family for future generations to enjoy as a rememberance of Bob and Shirley Kemp, my Mom and Dad.

This is a small house but super cozy. The yard was great for our 2 small dogs. There is a walking path through the meadow to the lake. Neighborhood was quiet. I will definitely book here again.
Stay in South Lake Tahoe
We got in late, in the dark, and were met with welcoming lights on and the fireplace on so it was warm. We were pooped so it was a lovely reception. Unless I read my directions incorrectly, check out was incredibly easy. Lovely retro charm!
We thoroughly enjoyed Lake Tahoe and loved the house we stayed in. Very homey and comfortable. We will definitely be back
Awesome short get away!
This is a darling little house, very retro. Great location, near lake, shopping and restaurants. We loved that we could bring our dog. The fencing however could use a little fixing up, he could easily have escaped under the fence on the side. But overall this is a great place to stay, we had a wonderful time, and would differently stay again.
The cabin was very clean. The only problem was there were no extra paper towels or toilet paper. That was easily solved with a trip to the store. We enjoyed our stay, as did our dogs. Thank you Bob for allowing us our 4 dogs. They loved the trips to the beach, and evening walks. They were exhausted by the end of the day, and went straight to their kennels for bedtime. The neighborhood was extremely quiet, which was nice, both day and night. Lookong forward to next year.
Simple cabin in the woods
This place is nothing to write home about but that’s really the best part of staying in Tahoe. There’s so much to do outside, why spend so much on your accommodations? The cabin had everything we needed. We had a blast staying at Bob’s place. He was great host. This was a great landing pad after spending all day outside playing. The dog run was great too!
