The cottage is equipped with everything you need for meals including a full size range, fridge, Keurig, microwave, waffle maker and all dishes required for baking and meal preparation. Your queen bed is very comfortable and all linens and blankets are provided, as well as towels. All rooms have black out wooden shutters to provide you a good night sleep and privacy. We provide Wifi/ Wifi calling as well as a flatscreen TV and a large selection of dvd movies. The cottage is heated with a heat pump as well as a wood fireplace. We provide wood and kindling.
Take a break from the cottage and enjoy nature. Bundle up, grab the snowshoes and hit the trails! Embrace an afternoon of winter paradise. Build a fire in one of our designated fire pit areas, warm up with a hot cocoa and homemade cookies. You plan your day, we provide the opportunity.
Winter is magical here, with many deer sightings in the early morning and evening hours. It may interest you to know that the deer have chosen this unique area for their winter home which provides an unforgettable experience when you are fortunate to see them. With 7 acres of private property, many of the deer can be seen sometimes sleeping under the trees. A two minute walk will take you to the Becaguimec stream where many of the deer come to drink.
To help make your weekend experience more enjoyable and hassle free, allow your host to pamper you with a complimentary home cooked breakfast at their home either Saturday or Sunday am. They are located directly across from the cottage. For almost 50 consecutive years, your host and her family have dedicated their winter months observing the deer and their habitat. They love sharing stories about these beautiful creatures, and no story is as good as one shared over a hot breakfast and a cup of coffee. Arrangements for this opportunity can be made upon arrival.
