About the host
Hosted by Roberta

My husband and I raised our three children here. We all loved the beaches, beach life and the deep soul of Encinitas. I am now a widow, Grandma, mom and retired midwife. I adore sitting quietly at the ocean edge. Of course the children are on their own now and when my husband passed away I decided to make this sweet cottage and the Encinitas lifestyle available to others.
Why they chose this property
The house was love at first sight for my husband and me. The minute we saw it we didn't even speak... just looked at each other and nodded simultaneously. This was our dream house. A little farm cottage in the heart of Old Encinitas.
What makes this property unique
The Old Downtown Encinitas area has aged beautifully. The rough edges have smoothed but the essence of the old beach town remains. Only a few beach towns in Southern California have managed to escape the downside of development while also improving the neighborhood. Encinitas is lucky to be counted as one of them. There is a strong vibe for health and wellness. The businesses reflect individual character, unique wares and many alternative healthcare modalities. The art community is active and local artists abound.
