The cabin is well situated in the woods for privacy, while still being close to amenities and Timberline. We found it to be warm and welcoming for our girls trip, with great cozy vibes!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very well kept with all the things we needed. Property manager was very easy to communicate with and the location was perfect for running into Welches to go to the store or up to the mountain to ski. Our family had a great time and we will definitely be back!

When I first got here, it was one of those days that was really bad, and I was in a terrible mood. After a little bit of time, and walking down to the creek… bad mood gone! We really enjoyed the hot tub, and the outdoor location! Cute little fairy doors in the neighborhood! Great creek access too! Very nice path down. I showed up early too, and Briar communicated with me immediately and accommodated me.

Our family stayed here for 10 days while our kids had ski camp at Mt Hood. Short and easy drive to the ski hill and to Welches for groceries. The hosts were super communicative and responsive. The home was super clean and comfortable and the property setting was magical.

Great house, beautiful place. Perfect amenities.I learned to read the fine print on VRBO listings. This is not waterfront. There are multiple NO TRESSPASSING signs everywhere on the way to the water which were slightly off putting. My rule following son was terrified we were on someone else's property. There are 4 outdoor cameras FACING the house from every angle. I understand to keep an eye on your property but one of which faces an entire wall of windows. I am 100% sure I walked past it half naked at least once before I recognized it there. The cameras might as well have been inside the home. Every square inch of that house is being watched. I felt like my peaceful retreat in the woods was being watched very closely, and it creeped me out a bit to be honest.

I hope you and your family enjoyed your time skiing on the mountain over spring break. We're happy you enjoyed the cabin and found the property beautiful and well-equipped. Thank you for the kind words. I'm sorry that a few things left you feeling unsettled and want to address your concerns.
I apologize if 'creek access' in the title created waterfront expectations—it's just a short walk away, as noted in image captions and shown in the welcome guide video we share with our guests. The "No Trespassing" signs are on neighboring property where they marked their boundaries. Our video guide is provided to make the path to the creek super clear and stress-free for our guests.
Regarding security, our listing states "Active exterior security cameras face the door entries and driveway." We have three cameras monitoring only these areas. They use motion detection zones specifically focused on outdoor spaces, NOT windows or interiors. Being located 2 hours away, this basic setup helps ensure guest safety and property protection while maintaining privacy inside.
I'm sorry these aspects made you uncomfortable. Had these concerns been raised during your stay, I would have been happy to explain the setup in detail and address any worries immediately. I was happy to accommodate your early check-in and would have been equally responsive about security concerns. Future guests can be assured that your privacy is completely respected, and we're always available during your stay.

Snowy Weekend/Good for Hood
We arrived with about 4 inches snow all around the property. No snow shovel provided, we had to ask and it came the next day. The steps needed shoveled all around the 3 entrances. The upstairs with 3 beds, is an old attic. It was too cold for the kids. We didnt want to ask for a space heater since asking for more towels was initially met with telling us to refresh them ourselves. The owner thought 1 towel per person per stay was sufficient. We showered after the hot tub, in the morning or after Mt Hood activities.. I did get more towels the next day. Guests should NOT have to do towel laundry.Check in was delayed, We arrived 15 minutes early and our code wasn't working. Once I got connected to wifi and sent a message on VRBO it was just after 4pm. The code finally worked, but the owner made it sound like it was our fault since he set it up to work at 3:40...ummm no.There are no mirrors other than the one in the bathroom so good luck getting ready for the day with everyone. My children didn't want to sleep in the cold attic space with super low ceilings off the mud room up some old wooden stairs. I even thought it was spooky. The hot tub wasn't very conveniently placed on the property up a hill.I actually would not recommend this place unless it was a last resort and you were snowed in on 26. The owner made communication awkward to the point i didnt want to communicate anymore after the towel thing. He will probably respond to my rating with something to make me sound bad.

I recommend future hosts exercise caution when considering Danielle as a guest. While she communicated her needs frequently, her expectations were unusually high compared to the 60 other guests we’ve hosted. Her concerns stemmed from preferences that were neither standard nor previously raised by past guests.
Despite receiving 12 towels for a 5-person reservation (with an extra guest added late), she insisted this was insufficient and was unhappy about the option to refresh them using the provided washer and dryer. Additional towels were delivered promptly the next morning, yet she continued to express dissatisfaction. Similarly, she expected immediate snow removal during an active snowfall, even though the property had been prepped before arrival. While we do keep a snow shovel and additional towels on-site, we made the decision not to provide her with the access code (as we didn’t trust her) and instead had our cleaner provide them early the next morning. This was also framed as a failure on our part.
Danielle also raised issues with aspects of the property that were accurately depicted in the listing, such as the attic space, stairway, mirror availability, check in times, and hot tub location. Rather than reviewing the listing details and photos beforehand, she expressed dissatisfaction upon arrival.
Overall, she was difficult to satisfy and quick to assume the worst.
