Arrived to the house we rented at 4:30 pm (check in time was any time after 3 pm). We had received a confirmation email on the Monday prior but no entry code to the house, There was a car in the driveway but no one answered the door. Called host (William). He answered and said he did not send all of the information but then phone call got disconnected. He must have hung up on us because several calls made by us went unanswered and voicemail was full. Never heard back from him. As we stood on porch pondering our situation, a car pulled up. Some women got out and we asked if they were staying here and they confirmed it. They got there Tuesday and had the place until Sunday. We were booked Thursday until Sunday. We checked our email and found that after William hung up on us, he cancelled us and refunded. We never heard anything else from him. Very poor treatment and totally unacceptable. If it was a mistake, an apology and offer to assist us in finding something else would have been nice at the very least. Felt completely disrespected and hope he is not given the ability to ever do this to anyone else.

Home away from home

We enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed and the location was great. Tucked in a nice neighborhood with other homes, private backyard, and within minutes had access to restaurants, groceries, gas, etc. The owner was very responsive and accomidating. If you are looking for a home away from home for your stay in Charleston, I recommend this cute home on teakwood!
