The house was so modern, clean and stylish. They supplied everything you could possibly need! Easy access to the lake from right out back and very private. They had kayaks and canoes which we used every day! We saw ducks and deer out back almost everyday! We had a great time!!
We had a great time! A perfect parents getaway weekend, very peaceful, relaxing, clean and well stocked. We could definitely see coming back with the kids with all the fun games they had, bunk room was adorable. Looking for wildlife and exploring the lake was so nice, we kayaked and fished every day (fishing kayaks for the win!), fire pit every night and hot tub under the deck in the rain was chefs kiss! The deli by entry was perfect and had many things needed, firewood etc, food trucks on the island were delish, pool and beaches were clean and cute. Host Chris was great, we had one small house issue and he had someone there to address it in 30mins. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought in to make it a special place. Fantastic for a chill and fun getaway, highly recommend!

Disliked: Cleanliness
The hosts were responsive, even allowing us to bring pets for additional deep clean fee, completely understandable. The house is gorgeous and on the surface appeared very clean. Unfortunately there were cobwebs and spider webs inside on the stairs, on the woodwook in the living room and headboard in main bedroom. We cleaned up any live spiders and didnt think cobwebs were a big deal and figured when we cleaned last day we'd hit them as a courtesy. On the second to last night we found food in the couch down stairs, and candy wrappers in the living room couch. Not thrilled but not going to complain. But on the last night we found a baby mouse and it clearly had fleas. We then saw a trail of mouse dropping along the fireplace ledge. Because we do have dogs and children we decided to pack up and leave a night early. Outside by hottub was a dirty diaper and pair of shorts. By the firepit was empty bait containers and beer bottles. We purchased fishing licenses, and after first day on the lake, we saw a sign that says no swimming due to high levels of Ecoli. I don't think the owners were aware of the condition of the house because they were extremely nice folks and their house is beautiful, however for the cost of the stay we should be able to have a clean home and informed the lake was contaminated. Suggest they hire new cleaners or do inspections prior to renting out. No form of refund offered, maybe they'll use the deep cleaning fee we were charged to do deep clean.

This review is extremely unfair, unfortunately some guests are just looking for ways to get a refund. Here are facts that were left out of the review:
1) The guests had a 4 night reservation and did not share a single concern until 9pm the night before checkout.
A few verbatims from the guests during their stay: “This is truly beautiful, inside and out” , “we would love to be able to come back again and again”
2) We messaged them on check-in day, the day after check-in and the day before check-out to make sure everything was good… it wasn’t until 12 hours before checkout that we were informed that they were unhappy with their stay.
3) We have had ~100 stays and hosted 400 guests across all of the booking platforms and this is 1 of just 2 reviews that are not 10/10 or 5/5
4) We strive to make every stay perfect for our guests, and if we don’t we do our best to correct it. I had no way to validate if any of these concerns raised were valid, or even given a chance to remediate them if they were and now held hostage for a refund.
We had an amazing stay! The home was clean and exactly as described. Everything he said was provided was there, which made settling in a breeze. Communication with the host was effortless and he was very prompt with responding. The community was just as wonderful. The beach and pool just a short distance away, the house had kayaks but if you wanted to rent paddle boards or bikes, you could right from the Island pool. The location was ideal—tons to do nearby, from dining to local attractions. My husband and his dad were in fishing heaven! You could fish right from the back yard but if you really wanted to catch more and bigger ones, go to the beach! We truly enjoyed our time and would absolutely stay again!
