It was a girls trip for my Mother’s 70th birthday. The cabin is very cute and has a really nice porch to sit out on and enjoy the weather and sounds of nature. I love the pictures around the cabin that tells the story of the cabin and the progress of its build and remodel.
Communication from the owner Melissa was great and it fit our needs and expectations perfectly.
I was super impressed with this cabin. Google maps took us straight to the property in a remote gated community. All codes for entry worked perfect. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and felt like home. Even had a few things like extra toothbrushes, even though we remembered ours. Out host was. Learly very thoughtful and responsive to messages. Thank you for making our trip that much easier.
The cabin is great! Very well set up and furnishings are cute. Beautiful view out the back deck. Everything was very clean and nice. The only exception is that there was evidently a mouse hole behind behind the washing machine in the bathroom, where mouse droppings were visible. Mice management is in effect - some kind of poison dispenser behind the washer, and also plug in deterrents,, and we never saw a mouse. So, maybe everything is working as it should, but it would be a good idea to stick a vacuum cleaner wand back there and just vacuum up the droppings before a guest arrives. The rockers on the porch deck also needed a wipe down before sitting on them. Understandable for outside furnishings, but would have been nicer to clean them off right before guests arrive. Everything else was very clean. The bedroom rug was either an animal hide or a faux animal hide. That was a turn off in an otherwise beautifully furnished space. The first floor bed was very comfy and the linens and towels were very soft and comfy too. We did not use the loft. The kitchen was very cute with a great stove top and a full sized fridge, but could use a little better lighting. The sink arrangement was great and we appreciated the fresh dish sponge. The location was about 20 minutes drive from the festival at Wilkes Community College, which was fine, but be prepared to drive up a pretty steep road. We would come again!
