This was my fourth visit to this beautiful property. I celebrated a quiet birthday. The stunning views keep us coming back. The host is so welcoming and accommodating and it is definitely shown throughout his home. I look forward to making more memories!
Absolutely spectacular views from this remarkable property!!!Super clean and comfortable with everything needed for a relaxing visit. Private and quiet setting, close to everything, the perfect location for our visit!
We could not have been happier with this beautiful home. The views are stunning, the kitchen is well stocked and the house is large enough to give guests their private space. We particularly enjoyed the large deck where you could watch lobster traps being emptied, schooners sailing on the horizon and beautiful sunrises. We will definitely return.
The home was gorgeous, better than what was posted. Glorious stay, great area. A bit of ping pong, music...cant say enough about how lovely this home was. Would love to return.
The listing photos accurately capture the expansive view of Penobscot Bay, and the very clean, recently renovated open interior. The owner was very quick to respond to my few questions. The house is very secluded and quiet, despite being near a major road. It was a perfect setting for a relaxing week.
I can't say enough for how amazing this property and stay were! The house is gorgeous and the views of the ocean from anywhere in the house with its floor to ceiling windows was nothing short of paradise. The open floor plan was perfect for the entire family.
This is my third stay at this beautiful property. I am healing and this location was perfect and peaceful. As always, it was clean and spacious, well appointed and comfortable. If ever there is an ideal place in the world..this is it! Continued blessings!
We had a wonderful time at Windows on the Ocean. We have not stayed at many vacation rentals, but I must say, this one was amazing and we will be back! The home was incredible, very clean, a perfect size for our family to spend the week together. You couldn't beat the views from the deck to watch the early morning sunrise or just take in the beauty of the bay when you were cooking dinner!
This is the second year we have rented this house. We had lots of deck time, good seafood, played the piano and games and the location. Is close to Camden and Rockport.
My family and I enjoyed our week staying at Windows on the Ocean. House is great; clean, modern with everything you need. The views of the bay from the deck and even from inside are fantastic. Quiet and secluded but only a few minutes from Camden and Rockport harbors. Sunset sail on the Schooner Appledore was great. Nice hike and views at close by Beech Hill Preserve.
After traveling to Maine annually for 14 years, this property beautifully added to why I love Maine. The views are stunning! The location is great (private, secluded). The home is clean and spacious. The owner also gives great directions to the property (with pictures). I traveled solo this year for R&R, but I will return with family.
Everything was wonderful! Home was beautiful. The view of the bay was spectacular! Definitely will try and return. Only comment is that it might be helpful to have a more prominent marker that shows where the entry to the driveway is 😊. Otherwise wouldn’t change a thing!
This property is one of the many reasons Maine has become my happy place. This was my second stay here, and I was equally as pleased as the first. I wanted to celebrate a quiet birthday and this was the perfect setting. The home is spacious, secluded and immaculate. The views are incredible! The kitchen is well appointed and easy to navigate. The property is located minutes from great dining and activity choices. Timothy was a wonderful host. I look forward to returning in the future.
Our week at Windows on the Water was amazing! It was all about the view...the ever changing light, lobster boats, schooners, lighthouse, and wonderful sun rises. One foggy morning, we woke up to a small section of the ocean shimmering like diamonds outside the bedroom, where somehow a shaft of sun was getting through-absolutely MAGICAL!
It was a pleasure to cook in the well appointed kitchen.
The house is located in a private location, but just a short drive from museums, grocery stores, and fine restaurants.
A big shout out to the property manager/owner, Tim, who promptly answered all of our questions. The reservation and checkout process couldn't have been easier.
Overall, a memorable stay and a great house to share with family and friends
Highly recommended!
The kitchen and living room were very nice, the view is terrific and the location is both convenient to the Camden & Rockland area. The kitchen is well stocked. The problem is with the main bedroom. It needs a good cleaning. A VERY good cleaning. There are big dustballs behind the bed and bedside tables. The sheets for the bed need to be replaced. Most of the white towels for the main bath had yellow stains on them. The bath mat needs to be replaced as well. The house has a terrific view and we enjoyed that immensely. But the owner needs to pay more attention to the cleaning and the age of bed linens and towels.

A very fond memory
The perch of the house overlooking Penobscot Bay is spectacular. The entire east-facing wall of the house is lined with floor to ceiling window panels--so den (with its wood-burner stove), kitchen, dining area and dining room, living room and master bedroom. The location is private--a roughly 10 acre parcel, wooded, sloping down from the main roadway, with a .4 mi dirt circuitous private pathway off Commercial Ave cut through the timber; the house itself is at the end of the path, built on a ledge, the Bay below, extending in all directions, offering a panorama from every window paneled room. The interior spaces, especially master bedroom, living room and dining room are of a grand scale. There appears to be ongoing a sequential process of interior refurbishment and updating, but none of this was in any way intrusive, and everything is fully operational. We were there over the week of Thanksgiving, and a 5-7" snow fell over the course of a day and evening. But by arrangement with the owner and manager, the plow was there to clear the road later in the afternoon, and then again to re-plow and sand first thing in the morning. The owner and manager were invariably prompt in reply with information that was clear and useful. Camden, Rockport, and Rockland are aligned north to south along Rt 1/Commercial Ave, and are all within a 10-15 minute drive, and even in late November there was no shortage of good restaurants, specialty shops, coffee shops, etc. But it's the house, its location and the views that are most striking.
Wow what a spectacular home ! This is our 2nd time staying here , my husband and i traveled from Cleveland each yr for our anniversary.
The wall of windows /doors through the whole house overlooking the ocean will blow your mind. House is super clean , has everything you need, owner/host is great ! Directions easy perfect. We’re in love with this house and will be back next yr .
This home was just beautiful! Having coffee on the deck in the morning was so relaxing! This home will be on our list if we ever return to the area. I highly recommend it!
The house was huge, spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The deck was enormous, and the views from almost everywhere were stunning. No neighbors in sight, very private, quiet, and relaxing. The place was even better than expected from the listing!
