This cabin is situated privately on 50 acres of pine woods, nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks. This small cabin is great for individuals and families looking for an affordable way to enjoy the quiet Adirondack experience. Like the larger cabin on the opposite end of the property, Pine Marten is back-to-nature with a hot rainwater shower and sink. Solar powered lighting is provided for the inside of the cabin, as well as oil lamps. The shower is located in a building a few yards down the hill from the cabin. There is an outhouse behind the cabin. It is rustic but very clean and neat. We use sand and lime to maintain it. A propane cook stove and an outdoor propane grill are available for your use. A metal fireplace is outside on the large patio for your enjoyment. There are many lakes a short drive away for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. If you are looking for a larger cabin or the dates you want are not available here, please check our other rental listing HA 3685593, which is the Mountain Laurel cabin at the opposite end of the property from this cabin. If you are looking for a cabin with an indoor bathroom, please check out our Lion's Den cabin, HA 9143513.

If you’re looking for the perfect off grid experience this is the place for you. Rick was very communicative with our stay always answered promptly and was very helpful. The cabins are well equipped with all you would need and pay extra for elsewhere. Firewood is supplied and all the little things you tend to forget are within an arms reach in the space. Cell service is spotty but it was perfect for us as we needed to unplug from technology but it would be a good idea for guest to kinda coordinate and plan excursions while in the neighboring towns as GPS and modernization are left behind. Highly recommend the Pine Marten and next time we are in the area with the kids we will stay at one of the larger cabins.
Secluded peaceful spot. Hosts included many small touches to make the stay pleasant. If you’re looking for an off grid but comfortable experience in this area of New York State. I would definitely recommend.
Stayed here with my girlfriend, we had an amazing time. Facilities were excellent, even the outhouse was extremely clean. Would recommend and book again!
Amazing cabin and outhouse! Very clean and organized, was able to meet with the owner and helped walk through how to use the shower. Incredibly friendly and easygoing, we enjoyed old forge and the shops, very fun trip we expect to take again! Overall wonderful experience we can’t wait to do!
This is a precious gem you will feel honored to enjoy. Rick thought of many things to make the stay cozy and convenient while still being offgrid and dependent on rain water, cool! Great place to unwind
This was an excellent find! We stayed here Labor Day weekend and were whitewater kayaking on the Beaver River during the annual fall festival. This cabin has everything you could ever need. It was clean and very cozy. I really appreciated the rustic off grid style. The outdoor fireplace was very nice and it was amazing having the roof above us since it was raining. There was also a gas grill. Seriously can't get over how well equipped this cabin is. You can't go wrong staying in this cabin and I'm excited to check out the other cabins for future years. This cabin is priced VERY well. It should be booked up more often. The hosts are very nice as well.

I loved being off the grid and right in the middle of a pine forest.
This is the place to relax and be refreshed away from it all. It was like camping except for the comfy bed inside the warm cabin. I would definitely stay here again or in their larger cabin on the same property. Great hosts and wonderful vacation!

Hey Jared! So glad you enjoyed your stay and that you're planning on coming back. We put our hearts into providing an exciting and fun off the grid experience. So it means the world to us when great people like you appreciate it.
We had a great time - hiking every day, enjoying the solitude, stargazing, building a fire every night. No internet and spotty service which was just what we needed!
A wonderful quiet - apart from the very lovely song of the birds who fill the wood.
A rustic experience not to forget - unlike some characterless places with running water and easy warmth. A splendid place to pray and play and read and rest.
The brisk Cold mornings praying the psalms while heating the wood stove for the room with the shower - will remain in memory as well.
We stayed a week. The cabin was clean and cozy. Helpful notes throughout the cabin, shower room, and outhouse 👍. It's definitely a place to come relax and unplug. The hosts were so helpful with any questions we had prior to and during our trip. Would definitely recommend! Hope we come again to stay. We might check out their other cabins. Also, lots of hiking and biking trails, along with beautiful lakes and rivers for kayaking and canoeing. Don't miss this off the grid gem!!💚
during our trip.
We had a great time, love, love, love the area. Very relaxing will definitely have to stay again and possibly at one of their other cabins. Our only problem we had was that our fur baby was on high alert all night, we thought it would have been better in a cabin as opposed to a tent. This obviously not a problem with the cabin. oh and the off the grid shower was awesome. There are little notes around with directions like how to use the shower. Can't thank Rick and Maira enough for sharing their little slice of paradise.
