Nightmare in Indy: deceptive listing turns eclipse getaway into roach-infested disaster.
Four of us were traveling into Indy to see the Eclipse Apr 5-8 2024. We arrived late Friday night and check in was accurate and easy to follow. When we arrived the outside was dark but manageable and the stairs were a bit treacherous.
Inside the apartment was where the major issues came to light. The photos make it seem like it’s an up to date, which is not the case. The paint is half done, the floors are highly uneven and dirty, the ceilings were a hack job of unfinished plaster, and there is an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke.
The cleanliness is the biggest issue. We counted as many as 20 roaches in the kitchen and bathroom. One of beds didn’t have a fitted sheet over the stained mattress and the pillowcases (which there were not enough of for 4 of us) were stained. Linen is said to be provided but there were no additional pillows, blankets and upon arriving we had no towels. We contacted the host about this right away and she did respond saying the issue would be resolved. The next morning we messaged asking when the towels would arrive and were told sometime that day. We got back after our day of exploring at midnight and still had no towels. We asked again and finally were awoken with knock on the door at 1:30am where a random man handed us a garbage bag full of stained mismatched towels.
The location was good for us as it was about 10mins from everything, but I would discourage anyone from staying here
