Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Hillside Farm is a peaceful paradise located in the heart of horse and bourbon country. It is a serene and natural setting tucked away but only 8 miles from downtown Versailles. You will stay in a tobacco barn converted into a charming cabin making for a unique and memorable experience. Sit on the large, covered porch and enjoy the sweeping views of the hillside overlooking Clear Creek. It is a nature, horse, and bourbon lovers dream!

The space:
Hillside Farm is the perfect place to sit back and relax and enjoy the beauty of Woodford County. You can stroll around the property, swim and fish in Clear Creek, sit around a fire, watch the sunset and the moonrise, or snuggle up inside the cozy cabin. The main feature is the large, covered porch where you can sit and watch numerous species of birds fly by. It is the quintessential place to gather and spend time together.

The kitchen is fully equipped and chef friendly with everything you will need to create a delicious meal. It is stocked with spices, coffee, tea, and cream and sugar. There is also an outdoor grilling area. If cooking isn't your thing, there are numerous restaurants located within 10 minutes of the farm.

The first floor has a queen pull out sofa bed and the primary bedroom is located on the second floor with a queen bed. There is a half bath on the first floor and a full bath off the primary. There is a private outdoor shower (seasonal) with hot and cold water. Bathing under the sun or stars is a must!

Hillside Farm is one of a kind and our family enjoys sharing the beauty of Kentucky with our guests. We are proud of the craftsmanship put into converting an old tobacco barn into a luxurious yet rustic space.

Guest access:
Guests have access to the entire farm, yet it is best to stay within the mowed areas. Guests can take a short 4–5-minute walk down the hillside and explore Clear Creek.

Guests will access the cabin by entering a code into a keypad on the front door.

The cabin is in nature and wildlife is plentiful. We can't control what wildlife you may encounter. We ask that you respect nature and are responsible to stay safe during your stay. We are not responsible for any accidents to humans and pets. Please keep your pets in your sight at all times!!

Beautiful Place to Stay

I wanted to own everything in this space. So well styled and such high quality items! We all loved staying here. The only thing I would point out is that the rental space is actually much smaller than it might appear from the outside photos. Half of the structure is barn space not for guests to use. With the pull out bed extended, it was a bit of a right space. But we all loved it anyways!!

Slice of Horse Country Heaven

My wife and I visited the Hillside Farm for her birthday and had an absolute wonderful vacation. The house was extremely clean and fresh when we entered. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Walking down the hill to the creek was an added bonus.The location feels like it is in the middle of nowhere but is only a short drive of 10 minutes into the town of Versailles. The property also backs up to a horse farm pasture, and we enjoyed watching the horses.We will most likely visit this property again, possibly in the fall to enjoy all of the amazing color.Elizabeth was a wonderful host answering all of our questions and providing everything we needed.
