The Guesthouse on Story is a historic, modern "Retreat in the City". Featuring 7 bedrooms with private baths. This home has 9 beds, a large dining room, modern kitchen, entertainment room & laundry areas. We feature Crosley turntables in every room and a vast array of vinyl to enjoy. Parking is included onsite. Perfectly located in the heart of Butchertown in between East Market District & historic Frankfort Ave. A walk away to dining, shopping & entertainment in the Butchertown / Nulu area.
The space
A historic 5,000 sq ft. home with a modern flare showcasing a love for Kentucky along with the love of music. Each bedroom has private bath/shower, WiFi, TV’s in all rooms and living room, record player, luxurious bedding, towels, large dining area, large fully equipped kitchen, large entertainment room, and a vast array of vinyl to enjoy at your leisure. Perfectly located in the heart of Butchertown in between East Market District and historic Frankfort Ave.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home including the fully equipped kitchen, dining room that seats 15, and an entertainment room on the second floor along, and the 3rd floor music room. A porch on the 1st floor with a gas grill and a balcony on the 2nd floor. We have space for 4 cars in the driveway and free off-street parking on site.

The Guesthouse On Story is your "retreat in the city". We are within walking distance of the Louisville City soccer stadium, The Waterfront, popular restaurants, bars, and shopping. 3-minute cab ride to Whiskey Row, and many distillers, Slugger Field, 2.5 minutes to the YUM Center, 6 miles to Churchill Downs, and 7 miles to Louisville Airport.

Amazing place with everything as indicated on the listing. Great neighborhood with a small park and a brewery and brandy bar in walking distance. We loved the proximity to everything. It’s incredibly huge so we never got in each other’s way. We had a great time there.

Bourbon Trip

The house was perfect for the large group we had. It was centrally located and was easy access to highways to get to the distilleries.We had a great trip and would definitely rent this house again for a large group.

Terrific Stay

The Guesthouse is an amazing place…better than the pictures you see. Everyone’s jaw dropped when we walked in and explored the house. More than enough room for 20 people. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Highly recommend. Will definitely use again when I’m the Louisville area.

Guesthouse Getaway

The Guesthouse on Story was a great location to getaway for a bachelor party weekend in Louisville. It had ample space for our group of 15 friends. The location in relation to our activities was very walkable or just a short Uber drive away. The property itself was clean and had everything we needed. The check in and check out process was easy and communication with the host was simple and reliable. I would highly consider staying at the Guesthouse in the future and would recommend it to others as well.

Location, Location, Location!

Fantastic location with walking access and short Uber rides to so many fun places. Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger, Prohibition Craft, Peerless, Michter’s, The Garage, Sergio’s and the list goes on! The house was a fantastic and fun space for 14 of us to prepare breakfast and dinner while we hung out and spun vinyl. The owners were super helpful, responsive and had so many recommendations shared at the house that we need to come back and visit more of Louisville!

Wedding Weekend

Great vibe! Space for everyone. In town the celebrate our nephew's wedding and his mother's 60th birthday. Would have liked the record players to be working better because our kids have a retro streak in them but we always had something things to do. Love that there were restaurants within walk distance.

This house was in a perfect location. We did several things and several different areas of Louisville and everything was within a mile to a mile and a half walk! The house was very clean. The beds and the rooms were comfy and cozy.This house accommodated our group perfectly! If was ever having another group event in Louisville would definitely book this house again!! Check In-N-Out process was very easy!! Thanks for a great weekend :)

Guesthouse on Story

The house is an old, but nice multi- story home that fit our large group wonderfully. The decorations were great and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Unfortunately, we stayed in December and the weather was very cold. The house was generally cold and two of the bedrooms without wall units were very cold. We made due, but if you are visiting in the winter be prepared.

It is "Big" and just perfect for larger groups staying together. Each room has its own bathroom attached. We want to share our love for music and Kentucky, we have themed rooms and various Crosley Record players in the common areas and all the bedrooms throughout the property. The location is ideal for being close to the urban distilleries, popular restaurants, shopping, bars, and tourist attractions.
