This was the perfect size for our family of 4. Everyone had room to spread out and we got to bring our dog as well. Very accommodating...had pet bowls, towels and a whole basket to help with our stay. Great for our quick weekend stay.

Thank You Desiree, please come visit us again if you and the family need a place to stay!
Great place, very clean, appears to be new property. Located in quiet old part of Bastrop. Everything we needed was there. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping strip in Bastrop. We come to town couple to three times per year and will definitely look for this place in the future.
We loved the house and enjoyed Bastrop.Only wish the bed was a king and a little lower for us 70 folks. Certainly understand why a king would fit in the master.Overall a great place.
This house is super cute, well kept and beautifully decorated. Owners stayed in communication with us all weekend, were very friendly and made sure we had everything we would need during our stay. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Thank You Cindy! We try to please. Looking forward to hosting you all when you return.
We only stayed two nights, but could’ve stayed a week, had we known how great it was. There were four of us, the sleeping conditions were nice. We felt safe especially gated in. It was quiet and quaint in a really cool little area of town. Restaurants were close by and we just had a terrific time. Highly recommend this adorable house.
We think the name of this wonderful place should be Best Little Farmhouse in Texas, not just Bastrop! The house is lovely and laid out so well. Everything was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Many thoughtful touches and care for your comfort made our stay very special. We enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the back porch while our dog appreciated walking around the cute fenced back yard without having to be leashed. Inside, the cow pictures and pillow were a hoot! Gary and Amy stayed in touch and were so helpful to us with our limited mobility. We can’t thank them enough for making our visit to Bastrop so enjoyable and hope to come back very soon!
The Little Farmhouse was fabulous!Beautiful home and well stocked with the comforts of home. Important to know items were labeled, wonderful house manual. We were sorry to leave. Would stay there in a heartbeat if the opportunity presents again!Thank you for a delightful stay.
This was our first VRBO experience and it was excellent. The whole process was easy and the home was fantastic. Communication was better than expected. The home was fresh, clean, and had everything we needed and more. We were within walking distance of Bastrop’s historical district.

I would give the property and host more stars if I could. House was beautiful, even nicer than pictures. The host was way above average. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area!
This house is so charming and perfectly appointed. We were in town for a dance competition, but only had dance on Friday and Sunday. Had we not had this wonderful space so close to the fun part of Bastrop our trip would have been very different. Great hosts, great space, great location.

Thank you for the positive comments. Please come back for future dance competitions!
This house was one of the best I’ve stayed in. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and exactly as described in listing. Lots of thoughtful touches in the house to make it a great stay. It is close to dining, shopping, live music venues in downtown Bastrop - we walked from the house. Neighborhood was very quiet and safe. I appreciated the secured parking onsite. I would definitely book again!
We all loved it. Perfect for two couples or a family. Great location, we walked downtown for dinner every night. They had everything we needed and more, cold bottles of water in the fridge, plenty of coffee and other hot drinks for the Keurig and some very yummy cupcakes from a local bakery. I highly recommend this rental.

Thank you Lisa for the wonderful review and appreciated your feedback FYI: we have replaced the swivel chair with a more comfortable swivel/recliner. It will be here when you come back!! ;)
The house was beautifully and thoughtfully put together to make our stay comfortable and fun! Everything is carefully arranged and labeled for ease. The hosts have done a fantastic job in creating a cozy, well-appointed space. The location is on a quiet street that is easy walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants. We are looking forward to coming back again when we want a peaceful getaway.
I loved being able to close a remote controlled gate behind me, when I turned in for the night. Great restaurants were close by, and the artistic culture in Bastrop was wonderful.
I had a beautiful, clean place complete with a powerful wi-fi system, to bring in a few clients to conduct business. I slept so gooood! It as a wonderful stay!!
This home is very nice and accommodating in a quiet neighborhood. The house is very new with nicely sized rooms and everything necessary for a relaxing stay. The hosts have thought of everything! There are extra towels, toiletries, pet supplies, etc. Both the front and back porches and living spaces are accommodating and welcoming The hosts quickly responded to all requests in a timely manner and were very polite. They even left a nice welcome gift. I will definitely look for this home again the next time we visit beautiful Bastrop!

Thank you! We look forward to hosting you again in the near future!!
We stayed in Bastrop over the week of Thanksgiving while visiting my son on break at Texas A&M. An easy 1 hour 15 minute drive to campus to grab him and a lovely week in Bastrop!
The property was certainly as deacribed, but actually better. Very spacious, clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. It was so easy to communicate with the property managers. The property is very secure with digital key entry at the door and the gated driveway.
A huge thumbs up! We will stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Gary Feltner
My wife (Amy) and I are retired and enjoying life. We enjoy traveling to new places, taking local tours, and consider ourselves foodies. Before becoming a host, we realized how much we enjoyed many of the homes and hosts we've stayed with. Staying at a vacation home offered us a personal connection to our stay which is much better than the uninspiring feel of a motel room. So we are now HOSTS!!!
Why they chose this property
Downtown Bastrop has been in the process of revitalization since 2019 which has brought unique commerce, arts, restaurants, festivals, and a positive small town spirit. Speaking of unique, you'll find chickens walking in the neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
Amy and I built this home with the love and vision of a modern day farmhouse. It took some time but it was worth it. So the home is new, it's smallish, it's unique, and we've had MANY complements. This home stands out because it's farmhouse look and feel and it's a short walk to everything downtown.
