Lake Rosseau, Muskoka Cottage for Rent near Windermere..... Great for families...... There is a 30 day minimum booking at this cottage...
Please message me if you want to book it...as the booking calendar may not be up to date at all times.

2 hour drive from Toronto.
15 minutes from Port Carling and Bracebridge for shopping, groceries etc.
Great fishing at this cottage for a guys weekend.
Boat access to Lake Rosseau and Lake Muskoka
5 minutes from Windermere House Hotel by boat or car for restaurants, marina/boat ramp, tennis, golf course, beach front.etc.
small pets ok, if larger please ask.
cottage consists of 3 bedrooms with 4 beds, and 1 bathroom, and 1000 square feet of living quarters.

We have onsite:
- wireless internet
- large living room table for office work.
- air conditioning and ceiling fans through out cottage.
- propane fireplace for cozy nights
- kayak and paddle boat on site for your use.
- motor boats are not included with the cottage rental.
and we do not rent motor boats out. You can rent boats at Windermere marina.
- propane BBQ and picnic table near dockside.
- lunch table on dock with sun umbrella
- 30 foot floating dock for boat parking
- large backyard to park your boat trailer.
- 1000 square feet of living quarters.
- Kitchen is equipped with all dishes, pots and pans, bbq utensils, microwave and drip coffee maker, etc.


Cottage is bright and sunny and faces southwest and has large eat-in kitchen overlooking the lake and dock area. Has a large living room with two couches and propane fireplace and air conditioning. Spacious bathroom and three cozy bedrooms.

3 bedrooms consist of:
bedroom one has...1 queen bed.
bedroom two has ...1 double bed.
bedroom three has...1 single bed and 1 twin bed.
two couches in living room.

Please note.....There is a 30 day minimum booking at this cottage.
Please bring your own bed linens and towels...(we have lots of pillows and bed comforters on site)
No smoking inside cottage please.

Note:
1) It appears as Utterson, Muskoka on the Map...but its actually located 5 minutes from Windermere

2) Please note...Motor boats are not included with the cottage.....

You can rent boats at the marina in Windermere.

Please note there are 10 stairs up to the living quarters...

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
1) please close all windows so rain does not come in. 2) lock the door & put key back in lockbox & scramble code.
4) put red umbrella in down postion at dock, so wind does not tear it. 5) turn thermostat on wall to lowest setting so fireplace is off. thank you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
no bonfires/outdoor fires allowed. fire ban in effect in muskoka $1000 fine.. No parties allowed. No smoking inside,no large pets over 20 pounds..
Please check with host before booking as calendar may not be up to date. note I leave my boat/car ther soemtimes to access another cottage on thelake.
Please Do not enter locked boathouse area where boats are kept.this area is off limits at all times.. Motor boats are not to be used at any time.

Loved this rustic boat house cottage in a quiet bay of Lake Rosseau - shallow water, great for swimming, can catch fish off the dock and comfy beds. Owner is very responsive and friendly - with lots of local knowledge.

Muskoka Lake Stay

Great lake! The boat house was clean and cozy, well equipped. The only thing is that it needs more lighting. The drive way slopes so stay on the gravel part as the car can get stuck if parked on the steep non gravel part especially if the ground is wet it can be muddy. The driveway that leads to the cottage, the bush needs to be cut back as the entrance is hidden. Bring bug spray. There is a nice dock to sit on and watch the sun set and great to dine outside. There is a BBQ and the cottage is a short drive to port carling which is great. Easy to get to and overall it was a great stay. Would recommend this property!!

Location! Location! Location!

The location was great!! Beautiful spot ! The owner responded promptly to all inquiries and the check in process was easy. The property needs a ton of work. Lacks bare necessities and it’s inundated with old, unnecessary furniture. Unlike other cottages, there was nothing for entertainment. No outdoors/indoor games. Wifi was good. It was hard to keep the place cool and the floors screeched very loudly. The cost (with all the additional fees included) came up to 700/night which is way above the value of staying here vs. some of other small rental cottages in the area. It was great being right on the lake surrounded by nature. The spot was very peaceful and serene, and in close proximity to stores and attractions. Easy booking process.
