Quaint, cozy house with everything we needed for a mid-winter stay. Kitchen is very well stocked and everything worked. WiFi was a little spotty at times. Thanks for being dog friendly!
We stayed here over Christmas and it was perfect. Aside from the snow providing a white Christmas, The house was charming, comfortable, extremely well stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wood stove was wonderful as was the ample supply of wood. Alan was an excellent host. All in all couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you. Alan and Helene
Everything was super clean, well stocked. Beautiful house and rooms. Housekeeper is across the street for anything you might need. Alan is a wonderful host. Everyone had a great time, we will definitely be back.
Just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. The house was clean and had everything you could need while on vacation. The pond was so clean and clear. We even saw a loon.
This extended family summer get-a-way allowed time for individual pursuits, couples interests and group activities including canoeing, sketching & painting, knitting, reading, playing guitar, and playing with our grandchildren.
This home is a fantastic gathering place, perfect for family time and making great memories! The home is very rustic and vintage which we all loved so much and the beach is just beautiful! Had everything needed for a comfortable stay, plenty of room and grounds are very nice. Washington is in the center of a lot of places to visit and things to do. We had so much fun and amazing quality time together, it was just truly awesome!

I loved the house with so many bits of history of times past. It was also nice that it had just about anything you could possibly need which makes packing less stressful. I would have loved to k ow more about the artwork that adorns the walls and yard. I felt very much at peace while there.
Charming spacious house on private property with your own secluded beach (short walk to private beach on mountain lake). Well maintained and comfortable.
My parents and I were in NH for a family wedding and this house was perfect for us! The host was very responsive and answered all my questions before our trip. My parents absolutely loved the house and said they would come back another time to enjoy all that NH has to offer.
Perfect place for relaxing and board games. Wonderfully decorated. Kitchen is very well-stocked, and the grill worked well. Thanks for letting us stay at your place!

2024 was our second year back at this property and we had another wonderful time. The property is located in a triangle among three nice ski mountains and a ton of great hiking. The family had yet another relaxing winter trip.
The house is the perfect place for a family vacation. The house has plenty of room to spread out. The beach is private and secluded. It was the perfect place for the grandkids to run around and play in the water.

I stayed here recently with a group of friends, and we were all shocked by how spacious and nice our accommodations were here. On top of that, it was just a short walk to an absolutely stunning lake. This made for the perfect weekend trip, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone!!
We had such a great time on such a fabulous and unique house! The house was spotless, well stocked and the owner was very attentive. We will definitely be back!

About the host
Hosted by Property Manager/Owner
We have owned this house since 1982 and over the years have made extensive renovations that include many modern amenities. We have tried to do this while maintaining the charm of an antique house built in the late 1700's.
Why they chose this property
This is a historic farmhouse that was owned by one of the founding members of the 7th Day Adventist Church. The original church was built on land donated by this homestead. It is both historic and comfortable and the unique touches from the past include a hand made cobler's table, a wheelwright's vice, and a wood cookstove. These historic features don't interfere with the modern kitchen, and modern electrical features, such as DSL internet and cable TV.
We take the utmost care in protecting our guests and follow the Centers For Disease Control's recommendations for cleaning and sanitizing our property in anticipation of all guest visits.
What makes this property unique
The Cabin is situated on 10 acres of wooded land with nearly 800 ft of private lake frontage on Millen Pond. The frontage includes a sandy beach, small fishing dock, fire pit, float, two canoes and kayaks, providing privacy and water access for the pleasure of our guests.
