Wake up in the trees and stroll to the beach! Mermaid Oasis is reminiscent of a tree house with all the amenities of a modern beach home. 4 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 bedroom with full bed, 2 futons, 3 full baths, outdoor pool and shower, two spacious decks with grill, fully equipped chef’s kitchen, laundry, pool table, smart TVs. Desirable, quiet Hither Woods neighborhood. Short walk to beach. Great for small groups and families with kids. Quiet place to work from home or truly check out!

Typically, we have a two week minimum July to Labor Day. Please message us about shorter stays to see if we can accommodate.

INDOORS
Enter into our large living room with fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and spacious seating surrounded by windows, connected to a fully equipped open-concept kitchen and dining area. On the main level, three queen-size rooms with dressers and closets. The primary bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. The other bedrooms on the main floor share a full bathroom. Up a spiral staircase is an office loft space with a queen bed and sofa bed. The fully finished basement, with its own private entrance to the pool, includes a full-sized bedroom, a full bathroom, a regulation pool table, and a sleeper futon with a living space. Multiple smart TVs. Downstairs has a fully-equipped laundry room and garage.

All bedrooms and living areas have AC except for the basement.

Looking for a place to work from home? Take your meetings in our upstairs loft office (with extra screen, printer, and office supplies), or in the bedrooms, basement, outside on the decks, or by the pool. 5G Wifi is strong throughout the house and by the pool.

OUTDOORS
There is a full-size, heated swimming pool, multiple lounge areas, a large hammock, umbrellas, and landscaping that offers a tropical oasis feel. A large deck runs the full length of the house and includes spacious lounge and dining areas that overlook the large backyard. There is an outdoor shower where you can wash away the day amongst the trees and under the stars. A second porch with additional seating overlooks the quiet front yard, classically landscaped to give you the true Montauk feel--a perfect place to start your morning.

Please note:
- The pool is heated to 78 degrees and can be can heated at a higher temperature for an additional charge. Rate depends on prices of gas. Please inquire if you’re interested.
- The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through September (closed Oct to mid-May).

PARKING
One-car garage that could fit two smaller cars. Additional parking in driveway for 3 cars. Street parking not allowed. 4 cars max allowed at the property.

LOCATION
We are a short walk to a beautiful beach accessible via a path. This beach is not easily accessible from town, so it is practically private. We have all the equipment you’ll need for perfect beach days: chairs, umbrellas, coolers, blankets, beach towels, beach toys, and a utility cart. We have three kayaks and adult life jackets (use of kayaks is at your own risk).

We are a 6-minute drive to the center of Montauk, 3 minutes to Gurney’s Resort or the Surfside Inn restaurant. Nearby access to serene hiking trails. 10-minute drive to beautiful Napeague beaches or Montauk Point State Park/Camp Hero.

We’ve been in the area for over 40 years. Our guest book offers tips for the best beaches, restaurants, bars, hikes, and things to do that you won’t get from your typical Hamptons rental company. We would love to offer additional recommendations upon request.

FAMILIES & KIDS
Our house is set up to comfortably accommodate your family and children. We have two portable pack and plays (one with bassinet), toddler booster seats, a clip on high-chair, infant lounger, infant swing, toys and books for multiple ages, a stroller, kids’ tableware, and more. The indoor stairs and loft are gated off, and there are safety gates leading down to the pool. Outlet covers throughout the house. Don’t have kids? Don’t worry, all kid stuff will be neatly stored out of sight during your stay.

CLEANING
The house is thoroughly and professionally cleaned between each rental. For guests who book more two weeks, an additional house cleaning is included as a part of your booking for no extra charge. If you would like to schedule additional cleanings during your stay, they can usually be arranged (with enough notice) for a fee.

SECURITY
We are located in a very safe, quiet, residential neighborhood of Montauk. The house is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in all rooms. There are two security cameras on the property that record the garage and driveway.
